Level up Tips?
I'm a level 26 hunter, and I seem to be having issues getting any further. I can't find gear that's better than what I already have. I've been trying to grind through some stuff to get my vanguard and/or faction ranks up, which is taking forever, but most of the stuff I still have available to do is either even with me, so I don't get much from it, a higher level so difficult by myself (the rest of my house of wolves quests), or not unlocked yet, for example, POE, End of Crota, Weekly Strikes. Not that it should matter much, but I'm on PS4. If anyone has any tips, I'd greatly appreciate it!

10 RepliesBuy Exotic Armor Helmet Engrams from Xûr!!! Do that NOW before he leaves on Sunday morning. He has gloves too... but you can do TDB quests for Eris for a free pair of Legendary gloves... they're older light levels, but they're free. Grind out Vanguard Strikes to rank two and buy boots... go with a buddy at the HIGHEST level you can enter (Dragon Strikes). Once you get high enough for a Nightfall you should be golden.

Do tdb quests to get legendary arm armor n keep doing roc strikes buy 1 piece of vanguard armor.

1 ReplyEdited by Fether4: 9/4/2015 6:48:31 PMI think public events grant vanguard marks. Pvp awards crucible marks even for losing and drops some decent weapons here and there. Try to do the weekly if available. Anything with match making will be a boost because you will have others to help out. I looked at you char and your pretty blue. I recommend using your marks on armor. If you can rack up the strange coins, buy the hunter exotic from xur. Should push you to 27 or 28. Then get the marks for helmet. Doesn't matter which one. Look at your faction reputations as you need to be rank 3. Vanguard might be the closest to 3 for you if your not already there. Complete some bounties and rank up. It's hard to depend on legendary drops so focus on what you can get now. Xur is going to be your best friend right now. If you don't have the strange coins but have 23 motes of light buy the exotic engram and hope it's a hunter class. If you get it then buy a legendary piece you need from the vanguard. Get your first exotic armor and buy the rest of the legendary pieces after. You should then be high enough for weeklies. After that you can go after specific weapons and gear.
