You know, it's pretty damn shitty that we're almost completed with skolas and we all get booted from it because of maintenance. Maintenance during the middle of the day is such a horrible idea. Today may have been my only shot to finish up my year one accomplishments and here you guys go and pull this crap. smgdh

I heard the 9/3 maintenance was announced sometime during July?
-
They announced maintenance days ago on the forums just like they always do, they have to do it during the day in case something goes wrong otherwise it might be down all night and during the day as well.
-
yep thats true, americans cannot work overtime they dont know the word so they will only schedule work to effect us it never effects themselves..
-
Guys could anyone tell me how long till the maintenance is over. I live in Ireland and I'm not sure if I'm converting it properly
-
It was announced days ago plus you've had a year.
-
4 pm EST servers should be up.

1) Destiny is world wide so whenever they do it, it will be during the day for someone... 2) As stated earlier, they gave us plenty of notice, I knew days ago Sorry you feel that Bungie has targeted you.. :(
-
Considering the maintenance has been announced for a few days now, you have only yourself to blame. This was NOT "out of nowhere" as you claim. You can sygdh all you want, but this was on you.
-
I hear your pain, an in-game notice would have been nice a couple of days in advance. Considering some activities take 5-6 hours to do your 1st time.
-
You can keep an eye on this article for maintenance announcements: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/13125 Another good source, is subscribing to the Bungie and Bungie Help Twitter accounts. Maintenance is typically announced at least one day ahead of time, there.

They announced it two days ago.

Edited by KannibalKlown: 9/3/2015 3:53:26 PMIt's been on the forums for at least a day, I believe more. A banner on the forums and front page warning of the upcomming outage. Likewise in Twitter it was posted 2 days ago. So... not "out of nowhere" Long maintenance windows for systems that handles hundreds of thousands of people... the argument is often made that it's best to have as many people in the office in case something goes wrong. So some companies do them during their business hours, instead of waking people @ 2AM local-time or paying over-time or whatever. The alternative is usually work-hours during the weekend. But if they did this on a Saturday THE FORUMS WOULD MELT OVER THE ANGER!
