At least in PvP, it should be the ultimate super counter if you time it right. Also damage resistance while deploying would be nice because the animation takes ages. I just think its retarded that a Gunslinger can break the bubble and still get 1 - 2 kills after, ir how a Warlock can break it with 2 fusion nades.
Edit: Tons of Hunters and Warlocks are voting no because they want Titans to suck apparently
Edit: some guy said it should be an exotic perk, which would be pretty cool I guess
Edit: Okay, maybe not invincible, but definitely a lot stronger.
Edit: There would still be a counter, you would have to go inside to kill the Titan, which actually makes the bubble dangerous
Edit: Changed the Title from Invincible to stronger because it's more reasonable

Ok, I'll bite. How about if they do make it stronger then the titan cannot equip a shotgun while under ward of dawn? Currently the only way to kill a titan solo in the bubble is another super...
-
Luke Smith has stated that Ward of Dawn will be buffed against other supers in the next update.
-
Supers countering supers is fine. Everyone who rips on blade dancers and gunslingers for whining about getting super countered tends to complain about the same for ward of dawn. The effects (armor/weapons/blessing of light) should maybe be stronger.
-
Why are you popping bubbles if someone's close enough to shotgun you out of it..? Idk if you were playing iron banner this week but those goddamned armor of light bubbles on heavy & capture points were the absolute most annoying things I've dealt with aside from the lag ... bubbles are lethal if you've a team to use them properly...armor of the light is also the most ridiculous over shield ever ... a charged melee takes out one third of the shield...that's it lol. a shotgun melee doesn't even take out the shield ... It's brutal asf dude! Orrrr using weapons of light w. Any high impact sniper rifle ...? OHK body shots?? I love having Titans on my team because I know how to properly work well off of their supers...have a bit of communication a well placed bubble will grant your team massive points each super.
-
Every super should counter every super. Having any super be stronger than the other is literally making that super OP.
-
Agree. Warlocks and Hunters can escape supers with blink. It would be fair if it could repel supers when deployed with timing This is coming from a hunter
-
Ward of dawn is good enough. With that said the bubble makes you vulnerable in a way because with my warlock whenever i have my bomb or rockets i always run into the bubble and end up getting free kills.
-
As someone who's played all 3 as mains across 2 accounts since the beta days, I couldn't agree more. When I PvP as a Gunslinger or Voidwalker, a Bubble looks like a free kill to me, and that shouldn't be the reaction I should have. I should be scrambling trying to think of a way to counter it before he scores too many points.
-
Gunslinger should take all shots too kill WoD. Shatter shouldn't be able to pop bubble and kill people inside. Bladedance is fine. Shotgun/melee wipes them out. And it takes 4 hits with Armor of Light. Titan smash is just annoying. But the thing that bugs me the most, is when I put up a bubble a little late, then a rocket/super hits me but I still get a Blast Shield medal but die and my WoD is gone. Bugs the F*CK out of me.

Edited by Reaver: 8/31/2015 5:09:36 PMI think an exotic that disables enemy supers when they enter inside the bubble, just like suppression grenades, would be awesome but probably overpowered Thoughts?
-
Titans need a PvE buff, specifically against the Psion's arc-wave-punch-of-doom-from-across-the-map. There's no reason for that to go through your bubble and wipe out your team. None.
-
I think when first deployed in the first few seconds maybe 5 seconds the bubble should be basically indestructible(it can still be popped if you nova bomb, fist of havoc, or radiance grenade inside). If you have bastion on it should increase the time a bit
-
Someone once told me with the Thunderlord with the Field Scout perk on (gives 60 rounds on a single clip) it can take down a Titan bubble. Is this true?
-
Rush enemy heavy while they're trying to pick it up and slam a bubble while wearing St 14... Sit back and watch the madness :)
-
Edited by T0ASTMAN: 8/31/2015 5:13:44 PMTitan bubbles should absorb nova bombs and no one inside should die but the bubble would collapse. It's the only defensive super and should nullify accordingly.
-
Edited by Rikkom: 8/30/2015 7:52:03 PMDirect counter to bubble - Solar/Vortex Grenade. Place one of those puppies in the center and watch the fun. Anyone who stays in will probably die, anyone who leaves? Well... They better hope your teammates aren't around.
-
okay when you face a full 6 spamming bubbles lemme kno how fast you can kill then
-
How about, they give the same effect as the suppressor grenade but just constant? Pop the bubble, Void explosion happens, shuts down nearby supers. Go inside the bubble with blade dancer? Super denied. Inside with a warlock? Super denied. It should be taken out by smashing the actual bubble. Not the person inside.
-
If it can't be countered by other supers then how can it be balanced? It takes 2 golden gun shots to take down the bubble then you get one more to get a kill. All supers are counter able and they shouldn't make an exception
-
I don't agree. If I could sit on a zone with my bubble and not worry, I'd call it cheap.
-
It is getting an upgrade called sunbreaker. Defender was never meant for pvp, at least from the developers. Luke Smith said it is the strongest PvE kit and I agree with him, with St 14 of course. Sunbreaker will be our pvp class, along with FoH, and defenders will deploy their bubbles knowing the risks of brining a PvE kit into pvp.
-
Honestly, it is a good super counter. Using a bubble forces your enemies to use their supers just to destroy yours. Now if they decide not to destroy your super, you keep your shield and buffs. If they decide to destroy your super, congratz, you made them use their super on yours, so that your teammates supers are not countered as easily. Also, if you see someone pop a super and stay in the bubble, then feel free to die like the idiot you deserve to die as.
-
It should take 2 supers to take down, not 1
-
If I see a bubble in PVP I just aim for the head with a sniper because some strange reason they love coming out that bubble
-
Currently ward of dawn is pretty worthless in PvP due to the fact that most supers can take it down and kill you. 2 golden gun shots and it's down, fast of havoc just drops in and kills everyone and blade dancers just jump in and kill you. Nova bomb will destroy it and anyone in it. The super needs top get a slight boost that it can be canceled out with another super, not taken out and then some. Make fist of havoc hit and break the bubble but not drop inside it. Make 3 golden gun shots destroy it (and have an exotic perk that makes it stronger to counter the 4 gg shots). Or give it something to make it viable for pvp. (It's good for some situations, but most the time if you pop it, expect some super to come at you) Plus, do you ever see anyone in trials use a defender? Do you wonder why?
-
Only in PVE. Pvp it should be counter able.
