So I recently watched a Destiny related video on YouTube and what I saw shocked me. Over the course of this 10-12 minute long video, the "host kept receiving these "donations" from random people watching the stream. WHY?! Why on earth would someone pay a guy who playing a video game? I was and still am in shock. I don't get it, why would ANYONE donate any kind of money no matter how small to these guys playing this game? I saw a donation as small as 2$ and one as large as 100$. Someone explain this to me please. EDIT: I'd just like to clarify something. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion and choices. I just hope that people who donate money to streamers that live in a comfortable house, with furniture, a gaming console, streaming equipment, Internet services and food in their fridges also go and donate money to people/animals that are actually needy. I hope you go and donate some money to charities and animal rescues organizations that will actually make the world a better place. That's the point im really trying to make. I hope some people understand me. EDIT 2: It completely slipped my mind to mention that most of these streamers are getting fat checks from YouTube because their videos constantly hit high view counts. So the whole they need the money to survive bit doesn't really apply.
