Let's talk about the ultimate sacrifice. Giving your Guardian back to the Traveler.

Yes, I would sacrifice a Guardian.

Nope, never, not gonna do it.

The idea needs work, but I'm interested.

Here's the short of the idea: Sacrifice a character to make another that much stronger. Here's the full explanation: Say for instance you have a level 35 Titan and a level 30 Warlock. And then say if you could sacrifice the Warlock to the Traveler and transfer all XP ever gain by the Warlock to the Titan and the current gear/class that's equipped. That would be one helluva boon to your Titan and equipment. I imagine the sacrifice would work something like this: You'd go to The Speaker (or whoever) and schedule a sacrifice. 24 hour minimum wait required. That should weed out the drinkers from making a horrible decision. At the scheduled time you'd log in with the character who will be accepting the sacrifice. Go to the area where the ceremony will take place. Obviously the details would have to be drawn up, but you get there, and there's your other Guardian, in game as an NPC. From here I've imagined it going down just like how Spock died in Star Trek 2 the Wrath of Kahn. Your sacrificial Guardian would step into a chamber (obviously with some epic Bungie music playing). The glass door closes and he/she slowly turns around and puts their hand up to the window and waits... You have to walk up to him/her, and by holding down the action button for I don't know, a long time, like 30 seconds, you confirm and initiate the sacrifice. Epic. Now. Why? Why would I do this besides the XP boon? Maybe for a special class item or emblem that shows just how many Guardians have been sacrificed that are passed a certain level, say 20. I know it's a little nuts. But, I think the hardcore and casuals alike would probably do this, at least once. Annnnd, well, that frees up a character slot. So ok, I'm gonna start another character and do it all over again. Or not! Players choice! Which is what this all about right?? There's still more to this in my head, but let's discuss. Would this break the game? I don't think so but maybe I'm missing something. - Kynde
