Yeah, here it goes. Another player who's complaining about the Thorn, you would say.
Nah, I'm just trying to point out why people actually think they're good because they get kills with the gun.
I'm sick and tired of my screen turning green. It makes me want to vomit. Kids will always think they're such great players because they got kills with a weapon that does damage over time. Yipee!
Now, take note that this isn't only about the Thorn. I will also mention other exotics as well.
So, I'm sitting here, taking time out to rant about this. I'd at least hope someone is reading it..
Here are some things I've noticed that lots of people tend to do while using the Thorn:
-Spam firing
-Relying on three hits to kill someone
-Tossing a grenade, then continues to shoot one bullet
-Gets mad and pulls out their Thorn when they see another player using theirs
-Attempting to snipe, but when someone comes close they pull it out
-Backing up and shooting
-Backing up and shooting
-Backing up and shooting
-Did I mention backing up and shooting? Oh yes, that's what I hate the most. When kids literally back up and shoot all of their rounds at someone who's trying to shotgun them. I will say, shotguns can be annoying as well, but it's a shotgun. You have to be closer to kill someone.
My thoughts on the weapon being nerfed?
"Yay!" but hold on. I don't think that doing so would be a great idea.
Months later:
Bungie employee 1: "Hey, uh, don't we listen to what others suggest about the game and cater toward the public opinion?
Bungie employee 2: "Yeah,. Everyone wants exotic hand cannons to be buffed again!"
"Let's release a hot fix!"
This game will never be balanced. They will always flip flop the weapons and nerf and buff them. No one is ever satisfied, and everyone is too scared to pick up and auto rifle or scout rifle to try and win. They're afraid.
The sole purpose of why the Thorn and The Last Word are used is because everyone is confident that they can get easy kills with them. That's why you see kids asking for help with this dumb exotic bounty. They WANT to win by using the Thorn. I hope you know that you can win using other guns.. But okay, kiddo.
I'm just tired of the lack of skill, guys. I know that everyone says "it gets the job done", but it makes you look like an effortless prick. Try something new! This whole entire stanza is me trying to tell you that you can do SO MUCH BETTER without the Thorn!
Now, something else I noticed is how people think they can kill other players using a different exotic hand cannon with theirs. Honestly, every time I see someone do this, they end up either trade killing, or just straight up losing that battle. You HAVE to be unpredictable. Scout rifles are the perfect example of something unpredictable. Even pulse rifles are. Try that!
Something else I noticed was how people said the Red Death counters the Thorn. Honestly, I've never tested it out. It does give you health back, yes, but you have to have some good aim. It's easier to land shots on someone with a Thorn than it is with a Red Death. It may work for some of us, but in the end, all I see are kids having Thorn battles.
Well, that's all I have to say. Just please, do yourself a favor and try using a NEW weapon for once. Bring back auto rifles, fusion rifles and machine guns!
