Welcome to another Unofficial Weekly Update! While you wait for the real update to drop, here's a little something for you to chew on! [b]For this week's poll, I want to know how YOU guys feel about current legendary gear not leveling up in The Taken King! [/b] It's that time again. We have a brand new Player of the Month, who was good enough to allow me to interrogate him about various things and put his words out to the community. I am very proud to introduce to you, a man who keeps his clean laundry in a pile on the floor, loves woman's soccer, and has absolutely no idea that Ron Swanson is the manliest man of all men (or who he is for that matter), Veneficus Ignis!!! Oh, and in case you were wondering, according to Google Translate, his name means magic fire! [b]So Vene...Ven...uh...IGNIS! That's your name now. Ignis! Tell me what game system do you play on?[/b] Currently Max, the 360! Nothing beats a classic; especially one that has Gears...I mean...a lancer through a poor drone's body?! ISN'T THAT FREAKING AWESOME!! [b]I usually get a feeling that it's not socially acceptable to talk about when I do that. Destiny needs lancers. I would LOVE to shove a lancer right into the colostomy bag of those bastard Hobgoblins some day! I still lament the loss of Dom.[/b] Poor Dom. He sure went out with a BANG though...that was in poor taste wasn't it? [b]Nah, everyone knew he had explosive issues...[/b] I could just see Lancers in Destiny...imagine all the Blade Dancers...ahhh...just beautiful! [b]Yeah, if a Hunter even knew how to turn on...let alone lift one PFFT. Are you a part of a clan?[/b] My clan is named “The House of Reapers.” The story of it is a very long tale, all the way from the old Halo: Reach days. Only have two members who still stayed with me through it all, Max! [b]Hmmm...sounds like you need people. What are your requirements to enlist? [/b] Hey whoa, whoa! It's not like we are desperate...well...maybe. I mean, we do have our own little family here Max, you know, the kind that helps you hide a dead body after a night of daddy drinking? But yes, we do need members desperately. Our requirements aren't much. Just have to prove that you are good at the game, and that includes a trial Max. Three Trials matches to show timing, skill and personality. And maybe a little back sass! [b]So are you just looking for elite PvP players who drink the sweet blood of Guardians?[/b] Oh no, we all dislike PvP, but when we are in PvP, we get all in people's faces. See, our clan's motto is “Fear us all.” That's not just like a kiddie figure on a goal to make people talk smack. When we enter a match, we make sure that they run away at the sight of us...sadly, Iron Banner had a LOT of brave people this time. But...if they are PvE oriented, we have our own tests, one can be chosen, and when you pass, you're in. [b]What kind of PvE tests can a hopeful enlistee expect to have thrown at them?[/b] Like...doing Crota hard as a sword bearer to show how well you can pace and time yourself, doing Vault of Glass hard to show how long you can last and how you act and what you play like! I once died on purpose to shadow a newcomer...he was beasting solo on the left side in the confluxes! That kind of skill sends people running! [b]So basically they just have to be a billy badass who makes foes liquid shit themselves at the very glance of them. So Ignus, what's your favorite character and class in Destiny and why?[/b] The character in lore would be Osiris. The name is a badge of honor carried by sooo many others in history. My favorite class, coincidentally, is the Warlock and subclass is the Sunsinger. I always had a romance with the idea of magic in real life and have always admired how game developers and book writers take the idea of magic and make them into a reality. Destiny really hit the nail on the head, and plus, let's face it Max, self rezzing and blinding a bunch of Fallen is a sight I wouldn't trade for anything in the world!! [b]Good to see another Warlock master class player! We are Elites among Guardians. When a Fallen sees Hunter, they're like, “Pssh, we got this.” When they see a Titan, they're all, “Not a big deal.” They see a Warlock though and they're like, “WHOA!! YELLOW BAR!!” and run like cowards. So...tell me what your favorite Destiny gun is and why[/b]! Sunbros, Voidfangers, and Stormcallers for life! And do you mean type or overall? Because I can answer both immediately. I love scout rifles! Nothing beats a good braining one shot at a time! My overall favorite weapon is the Lord of Wolves. The weapon's power is really unmatched...I mean, a pulse rifle met a shotgun, got Southern Hitched and gave birth to something so magnificent that it heals everyone to compensate for the deformity. In a manner of speaking of course! [b]I do love me some Lord of Wolves, but I'd have to say my favorite gun is the Queenbreaker's Bow. So sexy...Bungie really NAILED the exotics in the House of Wolves![/b] They're really putting their best foot forward. [b]So when you aren't braining fools with your Scout Rifles or melting them with screaming glee with the Lord of Wolves in Destiny, what game are you playing?[/b] I'm currently residing in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Always was a fan of the game series, and Inquisition feels like what the Taken King will be for Destiny: an amazing follow-up with changes and kick ass cut-scenes! [b]So, I'm sure that you've seen some of the announcements lately from Bungie regarding The Taken King, and one thing that seems like a hot point of contention right now is that Legendary Weapons aren't going to level up. How do you feel about that?[/b] Honestly, I couldn't care less Max! I can finally stop seeing Fatebringer, Black Hammer and shank burn rocket launchers! Heck, the game actually needed it to be honest. I'm a veteran of WoW, and was happy to know that that every piece of gear I had was getting sold, or dismantled in this case. Just gives me time to grow, but I'll tell you what though, I am keeping my Trials set and my Scholar! At least want something to hold onto! [b]I'll be keeping my Strange Suspect and Epitaph...the two guns I used to own my first Vault of Glass run. Well I had a Swarm too, but I kind of dismantled it for vault space reasons[/b] That's what I call honor my friend! Sadly, never kept my Light/Beware... [b]I had a few of those, but again, vault space. Great, great fusion rifle! So tell me what you do to earn money to feed your ravenous video game habit?[/b] I'm a third shifter pharmaceutical convenience cashier. A simple living, and I get to meet people. Helps with the PR when talking with newbies in the clan, you know? [b]So...you work in a convenience store, or a pharmacy? I'm confused...[/b] It's a half and half. We have a pharmacy and a convenience store in one. Mostly, I stock, move stuff around, deal with weirdos and count money. Simplistic living Max! Nothing like it! [b]If I didn't know better, based on your description I'd say you were a drug dealer. [/b] ... [b]Anyway...if you could change one thing in Destiny, what would it be?[/b] Just one? [b]Just one.[/b] Class items and emblems for clans! Like have class items you that have your clans name on them, and a symbol of what the “Avatar” is on the class item and emblem!
