I'm an ex GameStop employee, any questions?

My friends always had tons of questions for me, figured some of yall might. But most of yall will probably call me a fgt. Which is cool and all. But yeah. I'm really bored. Lol Edit: wow, did not think this would be that popular. Glad I could help answer your questions about the elusive GameStop job lol Edit: I feel like this needs to be explained- if you're wondering why you got what you got from trading in at GameStop, here is an explanation. Long story short it's supply and demand. But here-
1) are they broken/scratched? 2) how many other copies of the same game are currently in stock? These are the only questions involved in making that decision. Say I'm working at GameStop and I have 0 used copies of Destiny for Xbox One on my shelf. For every new copy of Destiny for Xbox One I sell the customer asks "is there a used copy? A cheaper one?" To which I say no. Then someone comes in and sells me their copy, with 0 copies on my shelf I can offer the customer about $40- that way I can make a profit when it sells, which I know it will since it's my only copy. I give them $40, then put the copy on my shelf for sale for say $50. That sells and everyone's happy. Let's fast forward, I now have 5 used copies on my shelf. Someone comes in the trade in their copy, I can't offer them the same $40 I've been giving out because before I can make a profit off their copy I have 5 other copies to sell. so I offer them less. Fast forward again, now the computer is telling me that our store has 20 used copies. A used copy of destiny for Xbox one is no longer in demand so I have to lower the trade in value again. Supply, and demand. That is how it works. GameStop is not being cheap or trying to rip you off, it is how the trade system works and that's how it works no matter what person, business or whatever uses it. all of this is done by computer, which keeps track of all the copies in stock and the prices. No employee is responsible for the price, I REPEAT, NO EMPLOYEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PRICE AND NO EMPLOYEE CAN OFFER YOU MORE OR LESS FOR YOUR GAME.
