After using Fusion Rifles in PvE endgame lately, I have concluded that this is the weakest class of secondary(like it hasn't been already). FR's just generally get outclassed in every way and get dominated by Shotguns & Snipers. While using FR's, I saw that even the really high impact ones(Servant of Aksor, Praetorian Foil etc.) cant even do enough damage to kill some Tier 1 enemies such as Captains or Knights. So what I think should be done about this is both Poll 1 & 2. FR's can have potential if they can do critical damage to bosses or Tier 2 enemies along with the general PvE buff.
What do you think about FR's?
Tl;dr
Fusion Rifles suck. Buff them
The used to be a competitive weapon for PvP as well. I would love to see the fusion rifle return to it's former glory. Extend range, if the stupid shotgun can kill in one shot without even aiming the fusion rifle deserves some love.
-
How about alot quicker charge time so you don't get blasted with a shotty while you're waiting for your gun to charge
-
Probably the best one is plan c
-
Shut up meg
-
Fusion rifles already do crit damage to red healthbar enemies. Well not sure if on all of them but red Knights 100% sure.
-
How about make maps thats are alittle more open so mid range can be dominated by scout rifles and fusion rifles
-
Captains and knights aren't tier 1 enemies.
-
Look at this
-
They have a charge up time obviously Horrible weapon up-close unless you have Plan C. The special perk is ridiculously funny.. Insta blast! Or if you Pre-charge it into an unsuspecting player/enemy. :) They should add Shot Package for Fusion Rifles. That would be great in my opinion
-
I think they need a pve buff not as much as a shotty, but signifigant. After that I'd probably tighten their spread but reduce higher end range gains.
-
Maybe they should undo all of the nerfs to the fusion rifle class that should return the fusion rifle back to its former glory.
-
No Nerf to projectile speed or spread, as proposed for TTK. Damage byff in PvE. Also, fusions don't have damage dropoff.
-
Just make all he fusion rifles fire one Ray instead of a burst and let it crit damage
-
What's your take on Fusion Rifles in PvE?
-
Slight damage buff
-
In pve fusion rifles need a damage buff or be able to stun/flinch mobs. I'd much rather use a shotgun and stun lock a captain than charge up my fusion rifle while being punished. In pvp fusion rifles need some kind of a range buff. Players with shotguns that have shot package had more range than my fusion rifle. The damage drop off was noticeable at the 10-15 feet range yet I was still getting blasted by felwinters and matadors.
-
Fusion rifles are able to hit Crits Shows in the new ign interview
-
Make the charge time faster. That's why I don't use them. Even a fusion with accelerated coils and a decent base is painfully slow
-
i still get one shotted by fusion rifles from triple the shotgun range (which is insane since shotguns are almost snipers).
-
You should only be able to "pre-charge" before you actually shoot twice. I hate noobs that sit around corners spamming their charges. Doing that should give off radiation and kill the user.

Edited by Lib3ralwithaGun: 8/6/2015 9:45:45 PMPvE buff is all they might need after 2.0, when shotguns are getting their OP perks nerfed. They are going to have to be very careful about buffing fusions, if they ever do again. Anyone who has been playing since launch, like me, knows that this game was a fusion rifle fest at one time.

Edited by ChaosBadger9587: 8/6/2015 8:34:56 PMI've been using the frenzy fusion rifle from FWC and my god is it good fast charge rate great reload mine has great stability and range. I've been having a blast using this and just destroying shotgunners. Give it a try guys. Mine has hidden hand Ejection mold Range finder. It's a monster
-
A perk like shot package where it tightens the projectiles
-
Shorter charge time?
-
Really, they're just so damn disappointing. They have the potential to be the coolest things, but instead they are just a novelty. A 365 Plan C should wreck in crucible, but it doesn't. I'm not saying that a competent fuse-head can't do some damage, but the tradeoff for having to lead a target and time your charge should be something that hits like a shotty at a farther range. Just my uneducated opinion.
