So I wonder if you would play a "Flood" style game. 6 person raid where the enemies attack a specific location continually. Similar to the prison but no breaks, random help drops, and the farther you go, the greater the drop. Enemies get harder (more yellow bars) and ultimately include bosses. Maybe the strike bosses make an appearance!
It would be matchmaking and the loot table could be anything currently in Destiny so it's more about having fun and killing stuff rather than grinding for loot but you still have the chance to get something great.
No need for checkpoints since it could work like a strike and you get a shot at loot once everyone wipes. The longer you stay on, the more loot you get/or better odds of better loot.
Honestly I just thinking about something PVE players like myself could play that wouldn't feel like the exact same thing, every time. Take down Crota. Swing Sword. Crota loot. *cough* anyway.
ODST had a type like this, I can't think of the name right now. Feel like I starts with an F. I'm sure someone will help me out.
