suspected lag switcher
There was a player tonight on trials and I suspect that he is a lagswitcher. He could not be damaged but weapons and he was immune to grenades, melee, and supers. We managed to damage him a very few times. I will let people who view the clip to be the ultimate judge. I would like to know where to direct a complaint to Bungie, about this behavior. That's no lag switch, that's hacks. Because a lag switching little bitch you can actually kill. A guy that can kill you and you can kill him maybe once or twice and he can super you even after being pounded he is hacking.

Hello, When you believe someone is cheating the best thing you can do is use the in-game Report Player function: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12960 Bungie takes cheating seriously. As mentioned in weekly updates, they have landed the banhammer on many players guilty of network manipulation. If you have been booted, use the Xbox/PlayStation report functions. (Though you should always also use these)

1 ReplySo there is no way to report him after the fact? , I forgot to report him after the match. I was too busy making sure I recorded it. It just makes me not even want to play trials.

Hi, When you believe someone is cheating the best thing you can do is use the in-game Report Player function: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12960 If you were booted and cannot access the Prior Mission Summary, please use the report tools given by Xbox/PlayStation.

Do us all a favor and use the in game reporting tool. Bungie has already said they will not use the videos posted on here as proof of some one cheating. As sad as it may be, but that's just the way it currently is.

Edited by Incendio: 8/2/2015 2:21:59 AMWe came across the same guy last night. He was invincible and would wait for the control point to spawn, then super us or stand directly on the flag in the middle so we couldn't cap it. I posted a video of the match in Snake's thread, if anyone is interested.

A huge giveaway is the fact that his all time K/D is below 1.0 yet his K/D for the past seven days is 3.5 + I'm assuming You reported him using the in-game reporting tools. I can see from his game history and his in-game K/D that he was doing this in other matches too , so I'm sure Bungie will pick up on this and he will face a ban soon enough. I have a forum post running with a lot of support and video evidence showing this type of cheating in action. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/141461087/0/0/1 The post was instrumental in Bungie's latest wave of bans for this exact exploit , Check out my status "JUSTICE" posted 11:38 Am on the 30th , Now look at the title of the section in the weekly update that talks about bans for cheaters posted by Bungie about ten hours later notice any similarities ? I'd like to think that was a small acknowledgement of the work that myself and other posters made bringing this type of cheating to light. Feel free to post your link there where it may get more views. Bungie doesn't issue bans based on video footage , but it may cause them to look more closely at the players involved and cross reference with any player reports they have received.
