Should bungie ban lag switchers permanently now from crucible?

Who would say no??? Really??? Lol
-
Not a tech guy. How does Bungie determine the reason for a poor connection? I started my first Iron Banner match last night, couldn't kill anyone but was killed several times. I looked and my connection was red. Which leads to another question. How does reducing your connection speed help? It hurt my k/d big time for that match.

Perm ban. Stay the hell out.

Edited by dj Skuff: 7/30/2015 5:02:25 PMThe only way to do it is to issue a month long PVP ban (making them miss the next iron banner) If they do it again then ban the gamertag for a year (or perma ban) The only problem is that on Xbox one you only have to have one live account, and you can make a new one (meaning you have to get all the weapons and rank up again) Console banning isn't really an option (not even sure they can do that? Thought that was down to MS) due to the shitstorm that happened last time Microsoft did a huge 360 ban for copied games. Everyone just traded in and got new ones, while everyone that bought the second hand consoles got burned.

They'll be talking about it in the Weekly Update today. Source: Bungie Twitter

Is it just me or do other people NOT run into cheaters on a regular basis. I think a lot if people are just confusing actual lag for lag switching. My fireteam got accused of lag switching when elimination was out last week because my friend started to lag at the beginning of the match and ended getting disconnected and the game went back to green bar. Got a message after the game "what's the point of lag switching if you lose?". The ignorance is real. People just look for reasons a to why they are seeing people lag or are getting killed by laggers. It's pretty obvious to spot lag switchers yet I've only come across MAYBE 3 groups in ToO who legit are cheating (out if hundreds of games).
-
Hahaha. The 4% of no is probably the lag switchers.
-
This kinda stuff is is becoming so common that they need to crack down hard on it. And besides the crucible is no place for mercy.
-
I don't know the percentage of players cheating but if it makes everything fair and most likely it isn't that high of a number of players then I would say ban their console. If the people cheating follow the game closely most will (if they have half a brain) stop once they hear of players being banned.
-
Who's voting no? Ban them too.
-
Yup console ban permanent if they can do it once who's to say they won't do it again brick the system . New ip and new system in order to play games hurt the pocket book then people might care.
-
I think temp ban for a week the first time, permanent for any subsequent offense is a better plan.
-
The 4% being the ones using lag switches
-
Temp yes, perm no.
-
voted no - they should be banned but not permanently for the first offence. 1 month to start with, permanent if they do it again when they come back on
-
i ran into about three lobbies this morning where it was happening this shit is getting out of control ! bungie seriously needs to crack down hard on these people !
-
They wont do. As if they'd permenantly delete a source of revenue. Come on this is cashtivision their number one priority is quick cash.
-
Yes banned permanetly. Only way to play online is a new console and gamertag. Wouldnt take long for it to stop. Btw if u cheat at a video game how bad of a person are you...really? Lowest form of life.
-
One strike one week Strike two yoouuuuuuuurrrrrrrre ouuuuuuut This ain't baseball there is no strike three
-
There should be no mercy for cheaters--One strike you're out. Cheating ruins the experience for the players and it also ruins the reputation of the game and developer.
-
yes , at least for one month and if it happens again life !
-
They should be perm banned from PSN or xbox live tbh. Its network manipulation which violates the TOS they signed to play the game. Bungie should cooperate with Microsoft and Sony and just give a list for their consoles to be perm banned.
-
I think a temp ban is good but forever is a little much
-
Temp ban at first, if it reoccurs the permaban
-
They jus need to funnel them all into a lag match, so nobody can ever kill each other hahahahahahhahahahaha that would be epic.
-
The 4% who said no are the ones who are about to be banned...
