I know everyone is annoyed about the upcoming patch for all the weapons (myself included), but someday Bungie might do something like remove the first couple of raids altogether other cause no one plays them or they don't have the space for new content. If that happens and Bungie has the rebalance all the new weapons because there is a new "thorn" at that point, some of the old weapons might become super op. I would love to run around Destiny a year or so from now with an even more op fatebringer or vex, heck hezens vengeance who I rarely see to begin with in any meta of the game might get super sayined and become better that g-horn right now. Who knows? Plus it would be fun to run into a new player who has never seen a fatebringer or vex and feel like a badass saying that they cannot get those weapons anymore. What I can say is that no matter what Bungie does to weapons I will still keep the old stuff for that glorious day where they become legend
