Should Rare gear be upgradeable to Legendary status? I ask this question due to some thought I've had. I've been thinking, what are other ways that legendary end game weapons and armor could become available? My solution would be upgrading Rare gear. How many rare weapons or armor pieces have you wanted to hold onto because it looked awesome, or because of the stats? How many things did you want to use in the end game but you couldn't because it's not upgradeable? Even the PlayStation exclusive rare gear is going to be useless to Xbox users when we get it, and it looks awesome. I'm an Xbox user myself and I'm pretty dissapointed that some of the coolest rare armor in the game will be useless to me. The thing about it is that it looks amazing, even better then most legendary gear we see now. I say there should be another item similar to etheric light available but it would be harder to get. Imagine how many more options for guns and armor there will be in the end game! And think about it, TTK is probably going to bring more useless rare gear with it. It should be upgradeable. I know there's weapon foundries but I'm mainly focusing on the armor, and so far the factions have reskinned gear. That's my next point. The only new armors we know of so far will be avalible from the Vanguard, Crucible, Iron Banner, and the new Raid. Also the Crucible gear is probably just reskinned/colored Vanguard gear as usual. So basically 3-4 new sets and 3 reskinned sets so far. And with our old gear, which won't be upgradeable, there won't be many options in the end for TTK unless your willing to put yourself at a disadvantage. What do you guys think about thus idea? Should rare gear be upgradeable to legendary status? What do you think about the old rare PS exclusive gear that isn't even useful anymore? Discuss!
