Again, this is just a suggestion. It is not finished and constructive criticism is appreciated.
I personally like raids that make you move and have a ton of teamwork in them.
The Raid:
You must destroy the Vex's Gorgon Lord, Zelyx, located in the large Vex Citadel on Venus. You start near the Citadel with your five other fire team members. You enter the same way you did on the last mission of the House of Wolves DLC. However, because of last time, the Vex have completely locked down their lift and you are not able to use it, for it is shielded. So you must fight your way up the stairs until you find another Vex Lift buried behind a series of corridors. After your ghost removes the shield you go into the lift and shoot up to your destination, deeper in the Citadel than expected. You explore the Citadel until you come up into a large rectangular room. The room has 'layers' that are defined by the pillars and cover fire in between with small passageways in between layers. On the farthest layer, which is the first layer accessible, is a Gorgon-like enemy, which is called a Gorgon Tagger. This Gorgon, when it spots a Guardian, will act like any other Gorgon, except it doesn't give the Guardians in the Fire Team the Gorgon's Gaze debuff and kills them all. It instead fires an object at the spotted Guardian that will track them and WILL attach to them, giving the Guardian a debuff called: Tagged. This will last until the Praetorian that spawns to hunt the Tagged Guardian is killed. This Praetorian can only be damaged and will only take interest in the tagged Guardian. Once the Praetorian is destroyed, the Guardian will be not hunted unless they are tagged again. in the middle of the room is a Vex Conflux that must be defended, for every Vex that sacrifices itself to the Conflux, the Gorgon Taggers will move in and patrol the 2nd out of 4 layers, with the original Gorgons taking the Gorgon Taggers' place. while this is happening, you must also take out the Cultists, large Goblins on four pillars with a Boss Status. The Cultists have a shield and 5000 points of life. You can only exit the room once the four Cultists have been defeated. After the Cultists have been defeated, you traverse through more hallways, battling the Vex, before you enter a square room with a blocked doorway directly in front of you and two Vex Minotaur's wielding Torch Hammers guarding the gate, with the name of Gorgon Lord Guard and a boss status, each with 7500 life points and the usual Void Shields. There are also two Cyclopes, one on each side of the room. The Gorgon Lord Guards must be destroyed for the door to slowly open as you hold off large and relentless hordes of Goblins. As soon as the door opens you are inside of a absolutely MASSIVE circular room with a circular pit in the middle, with a cylinder platform in the middle of the pit, with a Vex Hydra Boss, which is Zelyx, Gorgon Lord. Zelyx has a Templar-like shield that extends up to the ceiling. There are four Shield Override Core Sockets at specific locations covered in cover fire, however it is patrolled by a single Gorgon. Once one of the Shield Override Core Sockets has been activated with a Shield Override Core, the shield will go down for 20 seconds, the more Core Sockets activated, the more time the shield is down. Shield Override Cores spawn in between Sockets and sit in a large pedestal with a Cyclops sitting on the top. At least ten Vex Hobgoblins sit on high up ledges raining fire down on the Fire Team. Zelyx has about 75,000 life points. Zelyx has two different attacks as well as a general attacks.
Attack One: Multi-Tag
Zelyx will target 1-3 random Guardians and block off a part of the map that the Guardians are in with Arc Walls, and all the Guardians that are trapped instantly become tagged and have 4 Praetorian's per Guardians tagged come one at a time with every Guardian, however, the tagged Guardians can help each other with the up to 3 Praetorian's.
Attack Two: Scan
Zelyx will scan the area using two Arc Walls, moving around the room two times, with Zelyx obviously in the middle. The Guardians that get hit by the wall are damaged and have the 'Scanned' Debuff. Guardians with the 'Scanned' Debuff will be targeted by Zelyx and will be, again, hunted by Praetorian's. At about 50% health (37,500), Goblins will begin swarming the room, attacking the Guardians with a maximum of 75 Goblins on Hard Mode, and a minimum of 50 on Normal Mode, but because of their slightly large number, the goblins will have a damage debuff, so they will not hit as hard as they usually.
Zelyx's regular attack are it's two regular Hydra turrets, but will instead fire Cyclops Bolts. Once Zelyx dies, the middle of its platform will open up and uncover a hole. The chasm around it is too far for Guardians to Glide, Lift, or jump over, even with Blink or Shoulder Charge. A Vex puzzle will begin with the disappearing platforms, like the ones in Vault of Glass, and the Fire Team will have 30 seconds to complete the puzzle and jump down the hole before a horde of Gorgons swarm the room and kill the Fire Team with Gorgon's Gaze. At the bottom of the hole is a Chest, the only Exotic Chest in the whole Raid. If you fail the puzzle and die by the Gorgons, you will restart from anywhere from 10-20% of Zelyx's health until you finally complete the raid.

We need cabal content, they are pointless in the game as nothing is based around them

Edited by FlamingTacoFury: 7/7/2015 7:00:24 PMI think that for the vex DLC we get the lighthouse as the new social hub, and we descend into Mercury to fight the vex at the planets heart. I could see some awesome ideas. Manticores aka flying vex drones that act in swarms. The vex bring lush wildlife with them so I could see some fantastic art design for the landscape. Also where did you get Info for this vex dlc?
-
I stopped reading when I saw that your raid will be on Venus. Have you ever checked your friends list when someone is playing VoG? It says, playing raid on Venus. There can't be two raids there.
-
Didn't read only said its a good idea because we need more raids haha
-
Enough of the Vex already I want a Fallen or Cabal raid.
-
The HP on the bosses like the Cultists and Zelyx will be increased, for they are too..... Weak.
-
Well these are some unexpected results
-
So, no ideas for Raid Gear to go along with this Raid? I could use some help with it..
-
TL;DR
-
Edited by ColdSpace11: 7/6/2015 5:36:01 AMAlso, maybe some special Raid Gear to go along with this raid like the Exotic Chest at the end as one of the possible drops and drops from completing the Conflux, the Guards, and Zelyx would be fitting... Any ideas? edit: fixing up wording errors.
-
Also, with the special attacks, there would be a warning to when it would happen, and would have a cool down of at least one minute each.
-
Sounds good, I'd play this
Psst. Paragraphs also sound like a good idea ;P
-
Seems like a really well thought through idea :-)
-
Keep the comments coming, guys! I like to hear your opinions so the Raid can be fixed and refined!
-
Edited by COW GUY: 7/6/2015 5:07:38 AMNo gorgons outside of VoG, but otherwise a really good idea and sounds fun but a bit like Dattos.
-
Thanks for all the positive comments and votes! I mean it!
-
If the Vex cannot use any Gorgon-like technology outside of the Vault of Glass, maybe it could be moved in as an expansion to the Vault of Glass or something..
-
Isn't this Dattos idea
-
"you must destroy an even spongier gorgon that will get rid of your team in under 4 seconds" no thank you
-
um, you have missed a few things: the vex cannot use any gorgon like technology (obviously including gorgons) outside of the vault of glass. aside from that, good raid.
-
I'd say you picked one of the worst places here on B.net to share your idea. The people of #Offtopic hate it when people try and talk about Destiny in #Offtopic. The best place for this thread to be would be The subforum Bungie made for suggestions and complaints about Destiny; #Feedback. Moving your thread there should get you some more positive feedback, and might even get this idea to reach Bungie's eyes.

How about a Saturn raid with Osiris as our companion/guide
-
Gorgon/10 Too many Gorgons.
That's a lot of Gorgons though.
