Bump if you agree. also comment your thoughts
EDIT: Ive been here from day one not just someone wanting to know what older guns are i just want some old guns that i used to have.

I think vanguard and crucible packages do have a chance to drop db and vanilla gear and I've heard that doing vanguard roc gives you engrams that drop db weapons and armor
-
ROC strikes for tdb and tiger for vanilla
-
Same here. I miss my The Supremacy back from the first Queens Wrath. I regret deleting it once TDB dropped cause I didn't think I would be able to buff it. Since then I have yet to find a sniper rifle I like more, I rarely ever snipe anymore because of that. Sad days.
-
I want my Longbow back. Now that those high impact snipers are king because of killing off the revive in trials, I miss it. Speaking of the Longbow(aim assist king) do ya'll know if a Shadow of Veils with Shortgaze or a Her Benevolence with Longview SLR10 and Hidden Hand has more aim assist? I read that the Longview gives +30 AA and Shortgaze gives +15-20. Don't know if that's true, and sorry for putting this here lol. Ik it's off-topic

Engrams(legendary or rare) dropped during roc strikes decode into DB gear, and tiger strikes for vanilla. Of course if looking for specific guns will be a tedious grind, nothing new if you play destiny tho. Become legend, then grind.

Edited by Zero: 7/5/2015 2:41:27 PMThere is: play old strike playlists(roc and tiger strikes)
-
Id prefer them to stay rare. I want my old stuff to be a trophy showing I was here in the beginning. Not something anyone can get that just started.

Rotating vendor stock
-
Vendors should cycle between vanilla, dark below, and then house of wolves gear
-
Agreed
-
No, needs to stay the way it is. Day 1 players earned that exclusive gear.
-
Play the 24 and 26 strikes dude
-
I can't believe bungie ignores the best way to keep people playing. All gear from vendors should be on random weekly cycles so people can keep finding new guns and leveling them.
-
Agreed. The drop rate should be much lower than the new weapons but they should still be there.
-
Glad I kept my shadow price from like week one. Just waiting for AR buff, until then it's sitting in vault
-
The fact that faction vendor stock only changes with each expansion is a wasted opportunity.
-
I dunno. In a way, it's nice to have something that people can no longer get. There are a few guns I wish I hadn't dismantled, but that's the way it goes.
-
Hey if you do Tiger strikes any engrams you get turn in to vanilla gear/weapons and Vice versa with roc strikes and TDB stuff

I believe engrams and nightfalls should drop all weapons and gear that have been available at some point. To me, that makes things more exciting and worth doing. Right now, nightfalls are pointless for me considering xurs exotic engrams got me the new armor. And the fact that no new exotic weapons are droppable. Everyone can earn the three new exotic weapons. I don't like that idea.
-
It's called progression buddy, they won't let you just be able to play with guns from long ago, in a tower far far away, persistent worlds include the use of new items each DLC, if you were still using the devil you know until the end of destiny (assuming another game will be made along those lines) that would mean you have zero reason to play for rewards, and zero reason to play in general
-
-
There's like a 1-2% chance that an engram will give you a piece of vanilla history. Just last week I got a Chance from one, so I now have both FWC Hand Cannons.
-
If they would actually make better weapons I'd be happy! But there haven't been any better ones yet... Its not progression if it doesn't get better imo
-
Engrams can actually drop these weapons and armor, it's rare. I had an original vanguard arm piece drop for my hunter.
