Not able to connect on PS4

I'm connected to PSN and can see my friends are online playing Destiny. When I tried to log in, it hung on the connecting screen. I restarted my ps4, completely turned off my ps4, and uninstalled Destiny. Now... It's not even letting me install the update. Just says "Cannot download." What am I doing wrong?

Is anyone using Verizon Fios? Verizon internet seems to be the problem right now, i've seen customer posts on this.. but right now everything works but destiny sign in..
