Destiny Novel

Guardians. Been working on this for a while now. Life got in the way a bit, but that's hardly enough to keep me away from the keyboard for long. Destiny: Reclamation is live! At least, the first part of it is. The link above will send you to Fiction Press, where you can give it a read until I figure out a better format/medium to release it in. As it stands now the release schedule is... Wednesday 7/1: Prologue - Chapter 7 (People who have been following the project closely got it yesterday as the smallest, free-est thanks I could give) Saturday 7/4: Chapter 8-12 Wednesday 7/8: Finale Q: Why the extended release? A: Because I write/edit/proofread almost entirely alone, and it takes a bit to comb through things to get rid of most of the mistakes. Leaving in an error can distract people from the story, so I tend not to do that. Also, episodic content (when, you know, it's free) tends to be exciting for people. This is ultimately about being entertaining and having some fun with the community. Q: Are you going to do another one? A: Yes. I'll always be writing---but a sequel to this is very likely. I've enjoyed writing it more than I expected to, even if it took far longer than it usually does. Q: Can we get this in some other format? Fiction Press is weird. A:I'm open to suggestions. I'm aware that Fiction Press is kinda strange for some people, and sometimes doesn't show spacing/line breaks correctly. I go through and try to work that out via the editor but... Limited/spotty success. Q: Why don't you charge for this? No Patreon/PayPal/etc? A: Bungie seems completely unaware of this, but it's always safe to assume that any company is just aware enough of you to sue your pants off. So I'm assuming they're just aware enough of me to sue my pants off. I can't charge, because I don't have that many pairs of pants to begin with. They may only get a dime, but I probably needed that dime yadig? I really do appreciate those who have suggested that monitization is something I should consider. I'll let you know when I've got something I can't be sued for off the ground, and if you still want me to shut up and take your money I will do so happily. Thanks for all of the support/encouragement! I really hope everyone enjoys---if you do, leave a comment. If you don't, leave a comment! I want to know what you dislike, what you like, what/who you want more of. Hopefully this breathes some life and imagination into the groups we play with constantly. Stay brave, ~Ricochet
