Skolas: Can't reload if by teammates with the essence
Did my first run last night and noticed that if you are immune to the essence and you're near a teammate that has it, you can't reload your weapon, since square reloads and absorbs the essence. I had to go out of my way just to reload my weapon, and sometimes got killed because of this. Bungie needs to patch this imo.
EDIT: As stated in this thread, issue only presents itself if you are IMMUNE.

Just shoot all the ammo in the clip, automatically reloads for you. Or just walk away because you are immune and do it.

9 RepliesAre you serious? Just...move and reload! You have to be fairly close to absorb the essence. Are people really this bad at the game? "The left stick sprints, but it also is used to move backwards, so if I try to back up I sprint forward! Bungie, where's the patch?"

All you have to do is jump straight up and hit the square button. As long as you start the reload, it doesn't matter where you are in terms of near the poison.

I find that if you double press triangle (or y) to switch away then back to your original weapon, you are able to reload.
