Tons of people are coming up with ideas for the possible cabal raid in TTK, so I figures I'd toss my idea out.
The bulk of the raid has been thought out almost perfectly by other people by I think I've come up with the most challenging boss idea...
Your fireteam enters a room with three lift pads that require two guardians each. Once everyone is in place, they rise up until the team is around a large orb protecting a single psion. It is a member of the cabal high command and the head of the conquest on Mars. (Anyone that can think of a cool name can comment it.)
The fight proceeds like most raid bosses, the orb is impenetrable while up and is set on a 3 minute timer. Guardians either have to wait until time runs out while surviving a wave of enemies or they can eliminate all of them to drop the shield faster.
Once the shield is down, two of the three pads get a bubble around them, preventing guardians from firing out of them or escaping. The pad without the bubble has a precious minute to damage the psion.
After the minute is over, the psion releases a pulse that drains guardians super, grenade, and melee. The bubbles drop and the psions regenerates.
Guardians then have to fight a new wave of enemies or run out the clock. Each time the free pad changes randomly, giving each team of two a chance to damage the boss.
Rinse and repeat until it's dead. The pads lower back to the ground. Then, a loot cache will drop in the center with rewards and new shader called Psion Bane.
Let me know what you guys think.
