Since patch 1.1.1, weapons like Thorn, The Last Word, and apparently Hawkmoon (I'm on Xbox). Auto Rifles and Scout Rifles have no place in the Crucible anymore. So how do we fix this? Easy, three steps. 1. Bring Auto Rifles back to what they were. They currently don't do enough damage to compete with Hand Cannons. 2. Lower the range on Hand Cannons. This is not intended to nerf HC's into oblivion, but simply meant to balance them. Right now, their range is higher than Scouts and can compete with Snipers. 3. Lastly, Scout Rifles should get huge a range buff and a slight damage buff (a small one). This will make Scout Rifles an actual threat in PvP, as opposed to being BB guns.
