So Vex Mythoclast just received it's Nerf again
With the new patch update, Fusion rifles received their "weapon fix" aka nerf that did not load correctly into the HoW patch. Thus effectively destroying Vex Myth yet again. Sigh.... It was perfect the way it was. Finally not so over powered but still very useful.
Why does Bungie not learn to tweak specific weapon stats instead of Weapon classes as a whole? Vex is going back into the vault.
Edit: Most are in fact acknowledging that Vex has taken a substantial hit. Here is why; with the patch came the Widening of the cone in which fusion bolts fire. Since Vex only fires a single bolt at a time (as opposed to all other fusions which shoot around 5 or 6) that single bolt fires anywhere within the widened cone. At close range, the vex may operate nearly the same. But at mid to longer range, those single bolts are missing a lot of targets since they shoot so sporadically. Wider cone = Less accuracy.

4 RepliesHere's what's really dumb,if you look at the Vex's Stats,it shows it has great range right...yet the Last Word which has a Thumbnail size range is able to hit and kill at ranges the Vex can't....

1 Replydidnt notice it until you mentioned it, only use vex close/mid range anyway but yeah i seemed to be having a few issues with my usual headshot standard.. I always think then they say "hot fix fusion rifle from last patch didnt work so we tweaked it to get the fix to work" what they really mean is oh shit sorry guys we forgot the Vex was 323 not 331 before for balancing. so when everything got upgraded to 365 it made the VEX too powerful for iadvantages enabled PVP gameplay, and as our developers died to it too often when playing Trials of Osiris we are going to stealth nerf it and pretend the nerf didnt work last patch.. yeah yeah what ever just be honest, say you made a mistake overlooking the vex when you bought in the new level cap and its not working as you intended, and so you have kept its power but reduced its accuracy some more. i mean lets face it was anyone i mean absolutely anyone frequently using fusion rifles to such a great extent and with such capability that they needed a further nerf? I call BS

Bungie seems to have the time and attention to catch ToO hackers and patch the more than one run Treasure Key chests but not to take notice of how they are destroying weapons despite not having problems.

It didnt fit Bungies Vision for the game if the Vex was actually still useable.

"There should be no one way to win at Destiny", so they said last October, than they proceed to nerf everything leaving Thorn and Hand Cannons... the only way to win in Destiny. What was the point of making these other weapons if they aren't any good to begin with? To collect dust in vaults? If Bungie wants their game to solely revolve around hand cannons and Thorn, they should have just made it a hand cannon game to begin with, from the jump, and not bothered investing the time, money, and effort crafting other weapons no one will use anyway. Instead of deceptively luring people in with a Beta advertising sweet auto rifle game play, and after everyone has bought the game, take them away and plop stupid hand cannons on their laps. So sneaky, so many lies, so much deception, so much manipulation, so foul. This is one of the reasons why I 'Won't Pay Sixty For Comet'. On principle, to deny their support. I like the game play and gun play and the coop, but don't like the decisions they make. #Dontpaysixtyforcomet. Buy it used at a reduced price of 30$ or 40$. Used so Bungie and Activision see no money from the sale, reduced price to counter the bull sh*t they will put you through while you play.

Nerf my ass everyone I ran up on in the ib with a vex had me sweating ppl underestimate this gun it's almost annoying as a thorn but hey if you can't beat em get one and become asshole too!

Bungie is nothing but a little brat that wants players to play their game the way they want you too and if you're not ok with that, well you're shit out of luck because there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. I mean let's be serious here, they nerfed Auto Rifles simply because not many people were using Pulse Rifles. Yes, that's literally all it took for them to decide to make Auto Rifles completely useless in Crucible. It's even more funny when you realize that they'll continue nerfing/buffing weapons in the future. Why? Because their PvP Dev teams have no idea what the -blam!- they're doing.

I noticed that my Vex was no operating properly today. I just thought maybe it was an off day. Oh well, even more of a reason to use Thorn I guess.

And an fyi, its not a new nerf. They basically un-nerfed it with a patch, so they are just reapplying what they already did.

I think they should return the vex to the way it was originally. Its original form was equal to thorn now.
