We want better rewards in PoE!
I think most of the people that have spend the majority of their time playing PvE in this game figured out we got the shorter end of the deal when it comes down to HoW.
Don't get me wrong though. I like PoE and how the encounters can be quite challenging. I love that about the encounters in PoE (or the raids for that matter).
The biggest problem there is is the fact that the rewards are just not fit for the time and effort you put in it.
Sure, you'll get your light and your armor/weapon core but besides that the rewards you get (even with a key) are just ridiculously disappointing...
While if you would do ToO you'll be able to get loads more stuff and even better stuff in a shorter period of time. Even having the option to take breaks in between matches etc. Which clearly isn't the case in PoE with no checkpoint system what-so-ever.
Don't get me wrong, though. That doesn't mean I think they shouldn't get all of those rewards from ToO. it's just when you look at the time and effort PoE takes, mixed in with all the frustrations, your rewards are laughable.
There's nothing more disappointing in having to spend 4-5 hours trying a new encounter to get a couple of motes or a light you could have gotten somewhere else way quicker.
Please Bungie. Get your chizzle together 'cause I have the feeling a lot of people that want to focus on the PvE side of the game are just not getting satisfied. This might a good reason for people to drop the game all together.
Especially with ToO being quiet exclusive if you don't have a team for it.
Just some friendly advice from someone who loves this game and would hate to see it go to waste.

5 RepliesI'm not a PvP fan by no means. But this post got me thinking. What chance have PvP players had up till now to get elemental primary weapons? To my knowledge it wasn't from PvP content. PvP players had to run pve content(raids). I hate to say it but maybe the PvP players are finally catching a break in this aspect.

Level 32 PoE needs to drop Etheric Light. That's it. I know Bungie wanted it to be difficult to get to level 34 so they restricted Etheric Light to the higher level content, but as usual the skill/time gap between regular players and the couch potato 24/7 tryhards is so wide that some players already have dozens of EL and others still have none. The attempt has obviously failed, so why not just open it up to the rest of us non-PvP players?

I have not seen a key yet since the first 3. I do however have a lot of secondary ammo synths that I can't delete or use fast enough. So I said to Hell with the keys and after playing the best thing I get is some weak ass queens weapons. I haven't seen a weapon that's been worth playing 34 to get a weapon core. I know that some players like the challenge of playing harder levels but I want the reward to match the effort. I'll stick to 32 so I can get armor for my characters but that's it for me.

1 ReplyPulled a Celestial Nighthawk out of the golden chest last night on my Hunter. I was naturally overcome with glee. The rewards are fine, its just a pain in the butt for most people to get keys. My solution is to add keys to daily/weekly/nightfall rewards on top of the Ether Chests. Easy yeah?

You are so right! The rewards for poe is a joke! The problem is that they are trying to force people to play that piece of laggy shit, by offering better rewards than poe. It's a complete joke, the only reason i play poe is for the etheric light.

1 ReplyPvp is getting all the good shit and prison of elders is laughable for loot. One flawless run or even just a 7 win run gets you to 34 thanks to all the double dipping of rewards. Go flawless and you get a 365 elemental, level 34, and enough light to upgrade several old weapons. For ONE -blam!-ING RUN OF TRIALS!?!?!? On the other end, PoE takes far more time to run enough times to get up to 33 and 34 from gear drops and etheric light. Skolas doesn't even guarantee any good drops. It takes tons of runs to get jack squat. And don't get me started on treasure keys

7 RepliesIt's so stupid that you need to run the level 34 PoE with a level 33 character to get enough Etheric light to ascend to level 34, and we all know that level 34 is nearly impossible for a level 33 character. Remember when you'd run the normal raid to level up to run the hard raid? (Not me actually, I was a #forever29). The level 32 PoE should offer Etheric light to get you ready to run the level 34 and level 35 PoE.

You're right on, and especially the weapons like the Queen's Wrath weapons are just TRASH!!!!! Even the raid weapons are still more useful then those garbage ass weapons. Too disappointed with ugly and none useful weapons! Even if I can reforge it I won't use it! My raid weapons are still better! Queen's weapons is Garbage!!! CASE CLOSE!

16 RepliesIt is absurd how many people are getting etheric lights from pvp, mainly ToO. On the other hand, it is difficult as hell to acquire ONE from pve. Something is wrong here. PvE players getting shorted again.

2 RepliesAnd yea I am on the verge of dropping this game. I don't play PVP just not my thing and they re needs to at least be a level 32 guaranteed etheric light once a week for the people with lives that can't run 3 characters a week.

Agreed I spent 2 hours on lvl 35 POE for such little reward..I am truly disappointed in how hard they made this.

I lost first team member around 12am and we had to find another one from LFG. We lost second one around 2am. In the end - at around 3 we just gave up! We didn't even finish it. Skolas was just horribly hard! All that is lost! No checkpoint, nothing! Nothing to show for- I am sure if we would have finish and gone to the rewards - it would have been another horrible exp. Today I spend 2 hours trying to get a team for ToO, every time we lose 2 games one of the team member leaves and we go back to LFG to find yet another team member who would leave again if we are not winning every frigging game! The whole HoW exp is so lame, I am so close to dropping this obsession and moving on!

Agreed. Never seen a primary with elemental damage drop from skolas or anywhere near PoE. But trial hands em out fast an quick to 9-0 winners guaranteed. I've got 3 trials adept guns. But this whole entire RNG grind has gotten old. And I'm very tired of Destiny and it treadmill.

I've seen primaries with burns on them drop after beating Skolas but it's rare.

The rewards don't matter if the keys are so damn hard to come by. People spend hours farming and get no keys.

Bump. The 35 PoE Loot is BS right now...34 too, and 32 xD Played ToO yesterday and got a Void Scout. Played the 34 and the 35 this Week and Loot = nothing

1 ReplyBump, I spent 3 hours trying to beat 34 this week to get 1 light to level to 34.... Gave up, spent half hour in the trials with two clan buddy's and got 42 light legs which I needed and two lights for upgrades, and I'm not a big fan of PVP... So yeah mega bump a lot of time for so little gain :)

Heres what I think we should be able to also get from the chest. 1.PoE armor and Weapons (all levels) 2. Etheric Light(all levels) 3. Level 34,35 can give max of 5 strange coins and motes of light 4. Chance to get Exotic Armor Pieces. 5. Level 35 chest guarantees(first time per character) a elemental PoE weapon, like Trails does with Lighthouse. 6. 2500 glimmer per chest open.
