Solo Players Left Out
I don't have a group of friends to play with. I am literally the only person I know who plays this game. That makes it very difficult to play Nightfalls or higher level Prison of Elders. Raids? Forget it. It makes any mode that rewards with Etheric Light basically impossible for me. The game is fun, but so frustrating because I can't do some of the best stuff, and I can't get the things I need to advance. I feel like I'm being punished for not having a bunch of friends who play the game, and this more than anything else makes me want to stop playing entirely. I really want to love this game, and I've had some great moments, but this just kills it for me. It makes me feel physically sick.
EDIT: Gathering a group of randoms is not as good as playing with friends. The communication isn't there and you never know what quality you'll get.

Yeah, sort of the same boat. None of my IRL friends play destinty, and the gamer friends I have actually make fun of me for playing Destiny. I still use LFG sites and I enjoy the time I do play. I shouldn't have to go searching outside of the game just to play the game. I used to be a clan leader in quake and a guild raid leader in WoW. I won't join clans for that very reason. I do [b][u]not[/u][/b] want my inconsistencies in playtime to negatively affect other players. Clans take dedication that is beyond that necessary to enjoy a videogame. I simply do not have the time to manage the upkeep up a clan membership. I've proven that to myself in this game 4 times now. Joined 4 clans and was immediately dropped to the wayside by 4 clans. Why should a videogame be a popularity contest

1 ReplyYou'll never know I'll you try. Finding good people to hang with is a trial and error thing. Bad things can happen but so can good things too. We all know pug horror stories, but they're not necessarily all horror stories. Destiny isn't really about the solo experience.

Play with randoms, make friends with randoms, ready made team for whatever, play for a long and happy life, do not get dick stuck in toaster.

What are you on? PS4 then hit me up I have a clan full of people that are willing to help out, trails is a little different because there are only 3 of us that have made it 32-0 so we can only piggy back one player at a time but we are willing to help out others Knip23

I'm the same. I have one friend that has the game but he only has the trial so he's only level 7.

2 RepliesStrangers may not be as good as playing with friends, but honestly, some of the people I've added on ps4 are some of the funniest and best people I know.. I very rarely join people who actually talk about destiny :)

3 Repliesuh.... Destiny is a multiplayer game (or shared-world shooter as Bungie puts it).... so find people to play with. destinylfg, the100, bungienet, reddit, there're a lot of places to look for other players...
