As a ROTC cadet, I find this about as disrespectful as this incident with Time magazine. Now, it's not QUITE as disrespectful, knowing why you did it, but please, don't do it again....
well that photo that the tree is edited into is insulting with its cloud of conspiracy on its own, but thats beside the point... I agree with your main point though.

I just felt that it should be addressed before things got ugly.
Posted by: SonicJohn I did notice this too, but perhaps it's because it's only because people did not consider that it might be a bit tasteless, then again, perhaps it's because they'd rather not be seen as insensitive themselves..
I'm sure the first posters had the thought run through their mind, but it would seem disrespectful to blatantly shout out what they really thought. The photoshop isn't a bad piece of work, but it can be seen as offensive. People are looking into that picture way too much. It's not being disrespectful, nor was it meant to be. I think some people should just chill and should realize that at the end of the day, you will still remember what happened with no ill feelings toward this anyways.
Posted by: DarkGunner93 I find it strange that once one person says it's disrespectful, everyone else jumps on the bandwagon and complains about it too. It is a bit of a sensitive issue but as long as you didn't create it to offend anyone, it's fine.
I did notice this too, but perhaps it's because it's only because people did not consider that it might be a bit tasteless, then again, perhaps it's because they'd rather not be seen as insensitive themselves. Either way, there's no need to not like the Photoshop, as long as you look past the amusement and remember what really happened; just a bit of care is all that's needed.

Its some decent work...but it is somewhat disrespectful in my eyes....especially when you referenced WWI in the post.

I by no means am disgracing the Veterans. If you want me to take it down, In will.

Is his signature about obama too? that would be a cherry ontop of the cake. I can imagine him being red with rage behind his keyboard. hehe.

No, that picture is..... insensitive. I don't like it, it's dishonouring.

It might be disrespectful, but I like it.
