After a total of 15 (9-0) Trials runs.. Here are some tips and tricks to help you win! [Loot / game play Inside]

Hey Friends. Mike here. Without being a cocky asshole, Here are my stats: http://destinytracker.com/destiny/player/ps/mtashed Game Play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRVFYyuCnnQ Loot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nT6L-Gv8Q0 I'm sitting around 60th Highest KD ratio on Psn, and have had ample luck playing trials. I WANT TO HELP YOU. Please, feel free to ask questions, and lets get you a 9-0! Class Tier List This isn't set in stone but my opinion. All classes are good :) Top: Hunter (Golden Gun) : Due to the passive nature of Trials , Golden gun outshines blade dancer as a super. You can still push and be aggressive with Golden gun, without putting yourself in "Fist of Panic" range, or pick off Radianced Sunsingers from a distance without eating a sticky nade. Less Counters = Better Super Sunsinger (Fireborn): Due to only have three players and being a Revive oriented game, a well executed "Self Rez" can make or break a game. While having more armor can make you a TANK , Fist of havoc / GG will still kill you 90% of the time if you go Ham. OmFg the nades. Using burn / firebolt = sweet baby jesus they are on fire for a long time. Extremely good for finish kills on hiding opponents and flushing out campers. Mid (But still awesome) Striker Titan: Yep , Striker above blade Dancer. Why? Two reasons. Area Control / Zoning - Lightning Grenade lasts bloody ages...You can stop a revive by zoning their ghost with a grenade. Aftermath also lingers from your super, further denying areas. Super Counter - Nothing really beats Fist of Havoc's ability to counter supers. Blade Dancer? BYE. Sunsinger? BYEEE. If you can shut down someone else super with yours, you have gained NET SUPER ADVANTAGE - Getting a kill while stopping them from hurting your friends :P Blade Dancer: The ability to dive into their team is nearly unmatched with "Hungering Blade" and this super lasts deceptively long at times. If you are ahead, blow it early to avoid being countered and snowball the game :) Bottom Tier: Void Walker: The super currently sucks on this map. It is too narrow to land them many times. While axion bolt is one of the best grenades in the game, having a suspect super is a NO NO. Defender: Sure a clutch bubble save can be awesome. But watching a Titan or Blade dancer then enter your bubble and rekill you isn't fun. OR baiting your team to just join in some bubble fun, and the same happens - Not good. Also, many defenders try and use their bubble when they are last man standing... we will just sit and watch you until that thing runs out, THEN KILL YOU... stop wasting our time ;) Strategy This might be a punch in the dick when I say, you can't make a strategy... FOR THE ENTIRE MATCH. You can however make strategy on the fly, round by round. The way this mode is played, doing the same thing over and over / telegraphing your moves will lead to getting outplayed by "smarter" opponents. Change your routes every other round while still maintaining a somewhat "planned" round. Communicate and dominate BRO TIP: Inspect their load out. If they have TLW - try for ranged encounters. If they have shotguns, don't go waltzing around corners You will not go 9-0 using shotguns...Most of the time Let me be clear, Shotguns are absolutely fantastic and to an extent broken in this game. But they force you to RUSH into opponents, or camp around corners. This reduces your ability to be reactionary and forces you to be the aggressor. While a team of blink shot guns can be an absolute terror....and without sounding too cocky.... If you run into people like me who WILL snipe the -blam!- out of you... You are going to have a bad time. Numerous teams continued to try to shotgun in Trials of Osiris, but when teams are set up and sniping, it is nearly impossible to reach them. Practicing sniping if you can , and if you just can't do it, please.. try and use blink if you must shotgun. Will it annoy the hell out of players (especially players like me)? YEP Is it extremely effective? YEP You need to close the gap with blink shotgun as a team, cause panick, and get those kills up close and personal. I can't tell you how painful it is to watch titans walk around corners with their shotguns out, eating snipe rounds to the glasshouse. Grouping Some people will say GROUP AND REVIVE IS LIFE. Unfortunately that is also lining you up for one well placed grenade, one well timed super, or various other sticky situations. Group can be EXTREMELY effective, especially to pressure the last two players if one of them is picked off, but standing side by side all game is going to get you killed. Spread out an support each other, but don't cuddle. NEVER CUDDLE. Reviving Your team loses if everyone dies. It is important to revive people. Right? No. Please, for the love of god. STOP REVIVING YOUR -blam!-ING TEAM INTO 3 people. After 2-3000 skirmish games I can tell you first hand, trying to revive team mates in a fire fight is going to get you both killed. This works like..3% of the time, maybe. You have a better chance winning as a duo than getting instagibbed and leaving it 1 v 3. RUN, regroup , look for an opening to revive your friend together, or team shoot and try and 2 v 3. The amount of teams that will rush into you and eat grenades etc to try and finish the round is astonishing. Play it smart, relax, and watch them waltz into your trip mines because they are so horny to finish early ;) Solo YOlo If you are like me, and enjoy the lone wolf game - You can be extremely effective. Pushing the opposite heavy with a super while your team gets the other can end a round really quick. But It can also handicap your team. If you don't have strong team mates who can fend for themselves, be a "semi roamer" Push into different sight lines from your team, but don't expose yourself. This is best done when SNIPING , as you are safer than soloing with a shotgun. Orb Train / Supers Don't blow your supers all at once. Try and save them and combo it round after round. If you push as a team and have one guy super, you can grab the orbs, have two more supers for next round, rinse, and repeat! Our team always had one guy super on the "heavy round". This can sometimes end the round before heavy even drops. While winning any round is important, stopping them from getting rocket kills / building their own super with minimal effort is the hidden perk :) Heavy Round / Weapon Choice Sorry to say it, but Machine Guns ARE NOT competitive. Proximity rockets outclass machine guns in every possible way. Due to losing ammo after this round ends, you need to optimize your kill potential, while limiting you chance of death. Proximity rockets (horseshoe and grenades perk) allows for you to kill opponents running around corners without having to challenge, and can be fired VERY generously into a group of enemies for a nearly guaranteed kill. The first time a team is at 3 wins , heavy will spawn. If you want to be try hard, grab a TRUTH, swap to it before the round starts, and enjoy the power of the most OP rocket in the game. You know heavy is coming, so be ready for it with your best possible option. Special Ammo Special ammo carries over round to round. If you don't restock, you will run out. At the end of each round, B LINE IT directly to the special crates and stock up. This can give you a massive advantage if you can do it in the first couple rounds. By round 3/4/5 the other team may be depleted of sniper rounds if they have missed a bunch :) Final Notes Like any other game mode, you need to adapt to the other team. This unfortunately means no "set in stone" strategy, no perfect load out, and no perfect class. Practice with sniping as it is 5x more competitive than any other weapon, and use rockets over Heavy. Thanks for reading, Mike
