Why can't we just "commit" to someone
I hate that whenever I turn in a bounty I have to wear the dead orbit cloak or whatever to gain it's XP. I want to wear the cloak of the exile but whenever I turn in bounties I completely forget I'm not wearing the dead orbit stuff and I spam to turn in the bounties so all that XP goes to vanguard. Why can't we just go to a vendor and "commit" to them and wear whatever we wanna wear. And if we wanna change were at the tower turning bounties in as it is so might as well "commit" to someone else if you want that XP to go to someone else.
Anybody else don't like this ?
EDIT: seems like a lot of people would like a similar option let's see if bungie implements something like it :)

What is the point if the Osiris cape if I can't wear it because I want new monarchy packages? I really want to see a commit option to join a faction

2 RepliesIts a bad system all around. My guess is its a hasty replacement for actual faction missions. Its also pretty lame having to turn in bounties, but its necessary given how Bungie tied gear leveling to XP gains (rather than actual usage).

Its annoying having space for only 10 bounties, why not automatically 'pick up' new bounties on daily reset and when players want to turn them in, thats when they should then make a trip to the tower or reef.

2 RepliesAn interesting idea and one that should be considered. Speaking of factions, has anyone actually received armor or a weapon from their faction since HoW dropped? I've leveled my characters a couple of times since the drop and haven't scored any gear.

1 ReplyIt makes sense to stay with the current method. I think the idea behind it is that wearing the faction's mark is like advertising for them. What do they gain if no one in this mythical world knows you're fighting for them?

Yep, i think about having this option everytime i hand in a bounty. Bungie need to change it.

1 ReplyI agree. Each faction should have their own bounties, that way we can wear whatever bands, cloaks, or Titan booty covers we want.

3 RepliesI agree. They keep giving us cool looking class items I can't use, or have to keep remembering to switch out. Even if they want to force us to lock into it on that character, I'm fine with that. One each character.

4 RepliesOr how about giving us the option on any LEGENDARY class item to switch between the three? Sounds like a fair solution if you ask me. The options we have to rep factions are limited and not all that great looking imo. I like some of the new faction capes but I can't speak for the bonds and the butt-capes.

sad truth? I had the old dead orbit cloak but never cared for it so I bought the new one just released even though I didn't need it. I think it would be nice to commit to something without having to wear it but then it would take away the use of the class item.

In general the game needs vanity slots. So you can override the look of your gear but keep the stats.

They make it where we want to join factions yet the faction marks are sooooo wack! All these awesome looking ones I want to wear badly but I want to upgrade the three factions so I don't! I agree should be able to commit to a faction then wear whatever you want! Cmon bungie doooo it
