No. He's not. Please quit thinking everyone has your skill level.
We each had a ghorn, maxed at 365. All 3 of us were level 34. 2 of us had a black hammer. Everything we tried, failed.
Edit: We gave up, ran out of time. Certainly won't be trying again any time soon. I definitely will walk away from this defeated and broken down.
Edit: For everyone asking, I'm on PS4
Edit: this was posted the very first week of Prison of Elders, when the burn for Skolas was solar
Edit: just beat him a few hours ago. Thanks for all the helpful people in the comments below. Glad to see there are some good people in the community after all :). No it was not easy, but eventually it worked out (after much trial and error).

"Please quit thinking everyone has your skill level." may be if you follow the instruction, you will save time

He was pretty easy last week. Even without gjallarhorn. This week was a lot harder.
-
Well your first problem is you are us my solar guns
-
Sooooo the burn was arc just in case you guys were wondering....I mean that fact was easy to miss.... We all knew it was arc burn, but yeah......
-
This is so funny all of the noobs used rockets to kill him under s minute last week now nobody knows how to do it.
-
In comparison to this week. Last week was indeed easy. arc is ridiculous. it took us awhile to actually get him this week
-
Bungie does not know the difference between "hard" and giving the enemies so much health that you shoot at a yellow dreg for 45 mins....
-
For the first time ever... Gjallarhorn isn't the answer to the problem! My friends took him out with 2 maxed thunderlords, and a P&T. (They had 2 fatebringers and a fang FYI)
-
By the by that was the tactic for last week it isn't solar burn anymore
-
I had spent 2 hours on him with 1 other friend and gave up but then was asked to join another couple of friends, downed him first run no problems. you either 1. Wasn't Gjallarhorning correctly. 2. Someone didn't spam rockets fast enough. 3. your teams sucks. (honest opinion)

Edited by Stijn_One-: 5/28/2015 9:50:16 AMHard? Impossible? He is actually easy if you think of a strategy before you enter the room. Solar was easy with ghorns, arc is even easier with snipers only. It really isnt that hard.
-
Arc burn turned it from hard to impossible. My team has been doing this for five hours but he refuses to go into the ravine. He's always walking up towards us in the left platform and forcing us to run. Turns into a game of cat and mouse.
-
Did you have weapons of light?
-
Agreed sir. As for myself, another day one player, for the first time I feel useless to my friends. I'm one of those people with well over 1k hours and NEVER got the gally. Now when I try to do the hardest levels of PoE, I known just dragging my team down. I'm more than willing to step out so another person with one can get in and actually help. Do I like it!? HELL NO.... So how do I feel when I see people post how easy it is? Kinda pisses me off. "Easy" comes down to luck and gear & badd luck with RNG has kinda screwed me out the gear (the one exotic you need really) over and over again since launch. Again I agree with OP. The PoE experience has left me feeling dejected and locked out of end game content. At least some of my friends have had some luck, but until I get lucky and get my gally (never gonna happen) I won't feel that level of success in Destiny for a looooooonnnnnng time.

Want too know how we beat him twice with ease? Arc effridits spear with field scout, we had him dead before he could teleport by stun locking him against a wall, not a single Thunderlord bullet left our Magazine and an ad could spawn. My last skolas run from start to finish was 50~ mins and that was including explaining the stat to our third player and waiting for synths. He's easy, next week when he's void we have void effridits waiting to do it again.
-
I beat the 34 after much tribulation, but the 35 with arc burn is just impossible. Its supposed to be challenging, not imf*ckingpossible!
-
The person who said that got carried. Period.
-
Took us an hour and 9 min with 4 tries
-
Zero skill involved. Turn and shoot 14 rockets whilst dodging scorch cannon. Like honestly too easy, randal the vandal took more strategy and time to kill.
-
Yo Rikkom, if your on the xbone gt: eLAS Bean me and a friend will help you beat him
-
I'm level 32 and beaten him with 2 other people twice in a row with no problems
-
Arc burn this week has really made him a foe. Thunder lord does 8 damage when the bond isn't broken. And you have a 20 second window to deal damage while other arc enemies are burning you to the ground. In all honesty it's not worth the effort, it's gonna be hard.
-
It's not easy even with the ghorn tactic, you have to face a level 36 enemy, hordes of enemies, a 30 second death timer on a random player and disarm mines, it all accounts for skolas being at the right place at the right time, or it goes wrong, even with the tactic it took my group two hours just on the boss fight
-
He's even worse now that it's arc burn. No easy nukage. Still doable, though. Got me an elemental primary off of him. The scout rifle, though, so not one of the good ones. It is Arc, and the Fang has better stats. Still, it's a trophy.
-
It just kills me that they put burn on. They are already a level above you they dont need burn to help them one shot you even easier. Maybe if it was void burn then it would be good but there are enemies in there with solar burn and arc burn weapons and getting one shotted over and over just makes your morale go waay down after you just used your super and synth and have to sit in the airlock over and over again.
-
We beat him with 1 gally a hunger and a harms way heavy machine gun. Took a couple min but... Thinking arc this week will b a pain
