Why HoW will be the last expansion I pay for

That's fine it's your game, you are making it not me.
Now for my philosophy: When I am playing Destiny I want to be moving and shooting. I have no interest in spending 15 to 30 minutes asking random complete strangers to form a fire team.
So here is what it comes down to: I, and the thousands of other players who have complained about this, are not likely to change our philosophy. If you want to keep us as players, you are going to have to create the game we have told you we want, not tell us what you believe we should want.
Until matchmaking is available for all activities I will not be putting any more money into Destiny.
[b]#2, Drop Rates:[/b]
The fact that I can spend 4 hours straight slaughtering wolf packs and come away without a single Prison of Elders treasure key is INSANE. Getting to the end of the PoE and seeing that huge chest that I can't open (or worse seeing it opened by someone else and not getting loot) is a slap in the face. If your going to make me grind, at least give me a reasonable chance at a reward.

You're exaggerating the difficulty in getting a fire them together. The app makes it very easy and people are always willing to help out. I have far more issues with the match made weekly with people going AFK or just doing stupid shit and not communicating.

Both of those things are fine. There should be less matchmaking though. So good riddance.

You probably said the same thing for dark below, and you got this one. You say last DLC for this one, I'm sure you'll be here for comet, and so on. Just stop trying to kid yourself, and admit you aren't going anywhere. At least in the foreseeable future.

The later (though somewhat extreme) is the nature of a loot based game...and that grind (at least for me) is somewhat expected. Though for sure...there is a better way to go about introducing it. Not sure if I will be picking up the next expansion either...unless Bungie addresses the optional mm issue and significantly expand the content beyond existing environments. Running levels in reverse twice now (though I get what they were trying to do) and then still having those areas locked out in patrol...is not my idea of expanding. Though I enjoy the game...there are others (Rainbow 6, SW Battlefront) coming this fall...that are definitely on my bucket list.

1 ReplyI totally agree: no more paying for Destiny contents if i can't use them. Add matchmaking in every activities! (Am I wrong or they removed the matchmaking from the weekly strike?)

I agree. Bungie are like the three wise monkeys, as long as they get our money. They fix stuff which makes us able to solo the content, but they will never provide helpful features to team up. Their Philosophy is like "We don't like the way you play our game, play it as intended... If you want to play it as intended, find the required teammates yourself, we don't care."

These are my opinions, i will embrace the coming flames. Content wise, you get a few story missions, a new pvp mode, and a horde mode. Some new exotics, new legendary gear. Faction gear is a recolor, and so are the new faction class items. It feels that they are trying to tell a story here, but major, major questions are still left unanswered. The factions are just different dudes to buy gear from. Never see them do anything, in my eyes they are worthless. The playable areas expanded just a little. I am still gazing into the empty factories and whatnot in Old Russia, wishing i could explore them. New PvP map with church made me wonder if they actually had more zones on Earth. I am not saying the new improvements are bad. Bungie is clearly trying to improve the experience and fixing problems. Still, the game feels to me its lacking stuff. Alot of stuff. DeeJ tells us that he is listening, that Bungie is listening, but they have not said why the game feels empty, the areas feel empty. Sure the collapse killed everything, but the same enemies coming out of the same rooms or ships is just terrible. The Fallen in the tutorial mission are amazing, climbing walls and whatnot. Putting aside the joke that is the story of Destiny, i enjoy the gunplay and exotic weapons alot. Movement is fluid, and i like the super abilities too. I don't hate this game, i don't want my money back. Hell, i will play as long as i have my friends to play with. I really hope Bungie will turn this game into a much more glorious masterpiece in the future. It might be Destiny 2 that will set the standard for the series, and gives Bungie the chance to really, really shine. There is hope for the DLC's to contain more, and there is still hope for the playable areas to get bigger and more interactive. Only time will tell.

2 RepliesI don't care as much about the key, it's just another time suck Bungie has thrown into the game. They were making upgrading easier, so they had to add something to steal your hours away. It's the match making for me. I could care less about getting all the do dads but what I do want is to play without having to go through an ordeal every time I want to hop in and play for an hour. You should know, they are always going to add things into the game that make you waste your time. It's the main thing they lean on. "Did you know the average Destiny player, plays 3 hours at a time?" Yes Bungie we know, it's because you kind of have to.

I very much agreed. They took all legendary upgrade materials out and replaced it with something that is even harder to get. The "reward" system in this game is so totally based on luck and not at all on skill. Well, ranting won't change anything as we clearly see. I won't buy any other DLC or the next game either. Bungie seems rather happy with the way the game turned out and they evade any critical questions like some freaking warping Minotaur.

I will not pay any more money for destiny. its been nothing but lies and hype. pve is empty and broken. pvp players ruined pve with crying for nerfs. bungie needs to stop supporting pvp and make pve great like it should have been.

I will buy everything that is released for this game, yeah it's got it flaws and there are loads of things that could be done better but it's still awsome, the gun play is great I'm hooked.

It will be the 2nd Destiny dlc I got refunded if psn phone center is open on Memorial Day
