Rep gain for strikes

50 rep per strike

25 rep per strike

75 rep per strike (feeling generous Bungie?)

Let's actually question this cause it doesn't get any light shed on this subject. Strikes take about 10-15 minutes to complete, so let me set up a scenario for you. You start up a strike. You play all the way through, you either did well or you had a difficult time depending on your light level. You finally make it past the hordes of enemies and beat the boss. Yada yada yada, you killed it. Awesome, cool, great. That took about 13 minutes to complete. You get 25 rep. No problem right? Here's another one for you: You go to patrol on earth to complete the patrol missions for the bounty, which is completely fine. You pick one up and it turns out to be an assassination mission, cool. You travel there in less than 5 min and kill the target. You completed the mission and you get 25 rep... You see what's going on here? You can just farm for this assassination mission instead of doing the strike playlist to get rep faster. You get 25 rep in less than a third of the time it would've taken to complete a strike. Not only that, but you killed a high ranking enemy in that faction! You kill a Cabal General and you get the same amount of rep you get for killing a dreg with 2 arms!!! Please Bungie, raise the rep gain in strikes... Don't let all this typing go to waste...

  • its fine as it is. besides strikes are for marks than rep. bounties are for quick rep gains. plus nightfall buff it becomes 31 rep per strike.

    • This definitely needs to happen. Besides marks there is little to no reason to play strike playlists. I have 3 almost max level guardians and have been playing since launch and while the content is admittedly getting stale, it's still pretty fun to run through the strikes just to zone out and have a good time. So why is the rep I receive so low compared to the boring missions on patrol. I hate patrols. I hardly ever grab those bounties simply because they are so dull. 10 minutes driving around standing somewhere or shooting a couple things in the face because a voice on the radio told me to. That's not fun, that's padding. The strikes however, require you to move and think on your feet as you defend your dinklebot. It's all in good fun and will always grab the strike bounties over patrols. So please Bungie. Take into consideration the players who like taking down the Will of Crota, who take pleasure in ending Valus Tu Auruc. They want more than some measly 25 rep they can get by shooting a little dreg in the wilds. TL;DR Bungie, give us more rep to actually reward your players doing strikes not punish them for doing a niche activity.
