I still don't see why matchmaking hasn't been implemented into every activity. Yes, raids could be difficult with matchmaking, but everything else could be doable with it. It would benefit the game greatly in my opinion without negatively affecting a single thing. I honestly can't see any logical reason for not including matchmaking on nightfalls/high level POE arenas/raids. But that's just my opinion, so oh well.
Edit: After reading some of the replies, I realized something I should have put in the original post. The matchmaking should be optional, and you should be able to do the activities solo if you wish. Having options is always fun.

I mean is it really that hard to just pull up the recruitment forum and find someone hosting a game or host your own and post it?
-
Well, look at it this way. Would you want a level 23 that literally just unlocked VoG get matched with you? How about 4 of them? Its mainly about communication, the logic behind it wants you to play with people you have good chemistry with, if you got matched with a bunch a idiots not only would you be stuck with them, you'd probably be really frustrated quickly. The custom lobby allows team management. ( kicking, promotion etc etc) Also it allows you to pick what you want your fireteam members have to offer. (Mic, certain weapons, certain class/ subclass) Personally I don't want to be matched with a level 27 that is using uncommon weapons. Now I'm not saying you can't get complete dumbass lfg's, but like I said before. Team management.

Optional matchmaking would be fine.
-
I vote yes, if optional
-
You are the scum of earth for saying that.
-
My first run of PoE at 28 one of the players was just hiding the whole time, they had 4 kills. Does my head in.
-
×1 to have the options.
-
Have you done a strike? Half the people join don't do anything. No, matchmaking.
-
Only if it was optional. Too many afk'ers would abuse it.
-
I want PoE matchmaking for higher levels
-
No. Go away
-
My only problem in that is idle players who you can't kick and get work of your rewards. If they do this they should also make a system where if they are reported to being idle the game checks o see if they move and if they haven't for 30 seconds or so they are kicked

Matchmaking for your mom
-
Signed. Make it optional please :-)
-
Optional would be great. But with all the players online now its easy to find a team
-
I don't get the fu cking point in not making it optional, it's not like we HAVE to do matchmaking. It may be harder and people could abuse it, but it's better than trying to find random people on the apps that kick you. It makes absolutely no sense to not implement it and make it optional for people. According to bungie, it can't be done. ITS SIMPLE AS -blam!-, JUST MAKE IT OPTIONAL FOR EVERYONE TO USE IT IF THEY NEED IT.
-
Yep. Give us the option and let the players decide.
-
I agree I have like 20 friends that play all daily. Well I get home from work at 7pm guess what they all doing this now 3 man end game content and now I'm out a team by the time I get home.

No team of random 33's is beating urrox on 34. Me and my buddies are pretty good and it took quite a bit of coordination. The completion rate for something like that left up to matchmaking would be abysmal.

Lol I love that last tag

Edited by Tiny Baby Jesus: 5/21/2015 3:40:43 AMYes please. ADD MATCHMAKING TO EVERYTHING PLEASE. But make it optional.

I disagree man. Just ran the level 28 with matchmaking and all three times I was paired with bad players. They didn't even try to dismantle the mines and nobody uses the team chat. The level 35 would be nearly impossible in my opinion with random players unless you got lucky. My advice is to take the time to find players through lfg and make sure they know what they're doing.

I used to support matchmaking. Not because I would ever consider using it in a million years, but because I thought "Hell, if it won't impact me negatively, but it helps others, then why not?" Then with the addition of matchmaking to the weekly heroic, I realized bungie would make it FORCED MATCHMAKING. So, I take back everything I said and won't support it unless it's 100% optional.
