Not only did the MCC-H5 trailer hold significance to lore, it also was an allegory for the position we find ourselves in.
Watch the trailer again. Imagine that Master Chief represents true Halo. The Arbiter represents the collective fanbase. Agent Locke represents the multiplayer developers.
"To find him, you have to forget the stories. Forget the legends."
The developers have to look past the multiplayer they tried so hard to fit into the lore.
"You have to do more than walk in his footsteps."
The developers must make more than a good campaign.
"For he is more than the sum of his actions."
Master Chief just isn't the fictional hero he was made to be. He is the icon of good multiplayer.
"I tell you this not because I trust you, Agent Locke."
The fanbase sure as hell didn't trust 343i after Halo 4.
"But because all our lives are at stake."
Halo's reputation as a competitive shooter is on the line.
"Because the seeds of our future...are sown in his past."
The key to a successful future Halo title lies in the reasons why the original trilogy succeeded so well.

Edited by Hawkwardy: 5/14/2015 2:28:34 PMThe seeds of our Future thing is related to when The Librarian imprinted Geas, seeds from the didact, onto the humans. This meant that Master Chief shared his thoughts with the ISO-Didact. This is why he wanted to Launch the Halo Ring in Halo: CE. Now, Agent Locke is hunting Master Chief because he is about to fire the halo array. As the Arbiter said The seeds of our future, are sown in his past Just my thoughts, check out Master Chiefs Darkest Secret on YouTube. Your mind will be blown
