Halp (post 20 skill progression is confusing me)
Bear with me I'm really a beginner here, I am baffled by skill tree progression post level 20.
I read in numerous locations that you still get experience points towards subclasses when you play past level 20, but I'm finding that the green progress bar does not change in the slightest for them. I do seem to get upgrades on these when I get a big fat lot of XP all at once, but the green bar seems to have been fixed in place since I hit 20. I tested this last night when I turned in a 2500 XP bounty with my secondary subclass equipped. The green bar didn't move! But when I turned in a 5000 xp bounty, it upgraded automatically. Still no apparent change in the green bar.
Am I totally mad, or is this how skill trees are supposed to work post-20?
Or perhaps I am unable to see the changes in green bars due to my recent head injury in sparring class.

4 RepliesYou are talking about the bar underneath your character name in your emblem, that shows progress toward the next level? Level 20 is the highest level you can obtain via experience. Your subclasses, weapons, and armor will continue to rank up with experience, but your character level will not. Post 20 level progression is dependent on obtaining armor with the Light stat. It takes 21 light to reach level 21, 11 light per level after that through 30, and 12 light per level for 31 and 32 (144 light at level 32). Light will begin to appear on rare (blue) and better armor.
