This game is terrible.......
But I love it!
Yeah same here. I had a weekend where I slept away and got back on Monday but was too busy with work & errands and had destiny in my head as I was shopping. It's bad...
-
And we don't really even understand why ;))
-
I think that this "addiction" is due to the lovely/hateful RNG system... Just my opinion
-
In a way, yes. You start thinking about doing night fall on all 3 characters, and the weekly on all 3 characters, and then both raids on all 3 characters. Destiny REALLY takes up A LOT of your gaming time, i barely ever play anything else that i would LOVE to play (madden, 2k15, MKX)

Edited by OG Biggie: 5/5/2015 2:44:55 PMI don't believe in "addiction" full stop. "Addiction" is just an excuse people make for not wanting to/not having the will power to stop doing whatever it is they're doing. Oh so you want to stop smoking? Then just -blam!-ing stop putting them in your mouth and lighting them... Nobody is forcing them upon you. "I'm addicted" is just another way of saying "I know what I'm doing is wrong but I don't want to stop". Edit: this has got abit out of hand. I'm going to sleep, ciao tomorrow. I'm sure I'll wake up to many more stupid mute arguments that are just trying to justify addiction :)

Edited by The__Space_Pope: 5/5/2015 4:30:21 PMMy girlfriend thinks I have a problem. If I'm not playing I'm on the forum. I haven't played since Saturday and won't be back on till Thursday. I'm willing to drive 2 hours home to get my PlayStation at this point.

To all the people saying it's very addicting, there's no such word. But yes the game is very addictive indeed.
-
Sorry but the word addiction is just a kind way of saying you're a dweeb who's mentally weak. If you're addicted then you're a dweeb who's not strong enough to break away from it. No surprise that so many dorks are addicted to this game. Gamers tend to be social rejects with weak mental strength. Truth but deal with it!
-
Eh you get tired of doing chores sometimes..
-
Sadly... I must agree.
-
Sorry man. I think I've got the crave too. I tell myself, no, you need to do real people world stuff. But it's 4:45 am and I'm just going to sleep. Bungie, help me.
-
Yaaaassssss.

Raises hand and smiles weakly.

I'd say it's a love/hate relationship. I really love the game but sometimes i hate it badly. My playtime has gone down the last couple of months, because i don't want to get burnt out even more before HoW drops. but i got really in to IB again over the past weekend. I'm gonna be playing like crazy the weekend before HoW to get everything ready for the dlc.

I am. I spent a month on vacation without this game. It was hell. On my next vacation I'm planning to take my ps3 or atleqst the disc and redownload the patches on the one where I'm going to vacation on.

I have a few on my friends list who are sold out entirely to this game. Have some who are two hours ahead of me and when I switch off for the evening around midnight, they're still playing. Then the next day during a coffee break I check the forums and they're already on.

What's the NF this week??
-
LOL...
you should see my lawn XD
Edited by Minuteman: 5/4/2015 10:01:42 PMYes, I have a love-hate relationship with the game. The thing I hate the most about it how they use the schedule of events and resets to make you feel like you need to log in so you don't miss out on stuff. Every week I feel compelled to log in before the reset so I don't miss out on my strange coins from the weekly heroic and my loot from the weekly nightfall. What if I don't have enough coins the week that Xur sells Red Death, or Hawkmoon, or Gjallahorn? Too horrible to imagine... And then since I'm already logged in, ...might as well do some of those easy bounties, might as well try out that new exotic weapon in the Crucible for a few matches... It was easier for me to quit WOW because at least then when I quit I had saved myself $15 a month. The thing is that so far I haven't even done a complete raid, and I've only got one character to level 32 and one to 30 approaching 31. I've stuck to patrol, strikes, Crucible and Iron Banner. So I know there are a lot of people out there who are even more hooked than I am with multiple level 32 characters.

I think I was before I realised it was a problem and slowed way down to a few hours a week or none at all. I just wish my friend stopped staying up till 5am playing games like Destiny. He's failing every single one of his classes.
-
It's highly addicting, maybe it's the slot machine system of receiving random rewards
-
yeah, its pretty fun. I try to play ever day. I have everything I want so right now so if I skip a day I don't really mind. If I log in and get - contacting destiny server message, I just straight turn it off. Not dealing w/ that crap.
