Hey Guardians. It's just about the middle of the current Iron Banner tournament. Man oh man, am I excited for that sweeeeeet sweet sweet helmet.
While grinding for bounties in the tournament, I noticed that pretty much all of the bounties are based on individual skill and kills. However, Iron Banner is a Control-based tourney.
I believe that this leads to games where people are less motivated to capture and control points, in lieu of just stomping on scrubs. Sure, part of control is killing the other team, but the bounties don't promote teamwork, which of course leads to uncohesive teams, and losing.
I don't think any IB bounties should be removed, but maybe adding some objective-based bounties into the rotation would help. Here's some I came up with:
-Kill 25 guardians while they are capturing a zone.
-Kill 15 guardians while you are capturing a zone.
-Neutralize 10 zones.
-Defend a teammate while they are capturing a zone 5 times. (Basically, score an "Overwatch" medal on a teammate taking a zone.)
Things like this. Still involves killing, still involves skill to achieve, but they're more focused on rewarding cooperation and teamwork.
Just my two cents. See you star side!

Edited by J of Core: 5/2/2015 11:36:16 PMSure, sounds good. More variety in bounties would be great. Even if it rotated bounties every day... I think they wouldn't want to add to the number that r available at one time because then gaining level would be too short.. But rotate which ones are avail any given day would be neat.
