"X Super is overpowered, it shouldn't be able to shutdown Y super"

Crucible has come a long way, and Bungie has made some good and bad decisions when it comes to balancing weapons and the flow of the game. But an issue I think needs to be addressed is supers; not their power, but their frequency. People have suggested a mode with no supers, or making them weaker, or removing them from crucible entirely; all of which seem a bit excessive. I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but I haven't seen it. I think supers should be earned through killstreaks, to give more incentive for high streaks than medals and grimoire. This would make players panic less, and be more thoughtful with their super use instead of just using on a single person. The way it would work is you earn supers through kills like usual, but your meter resets when you die and doesn't regen over time. Supers would be saved charged if earned until you use them, and orbs of light act as a "kill," and intellect would decrease the amount of kills you need. Maybe this idea is stupid, maybe it could work out, but I think it would prevent all the super whining posts. I'm all for having supers in PvP, but there should be more of an incentive to stay alive and be less reckless, and those who are skilled will be rewarded with a super charge. Like it? Hate it? Let me know!

  • I like this idea a lot. Although, I would prefer a game type without exotic weapons and supers, but I was a big Halo player. So maybe I just miss the actual balance, skill and competitiveness of that game because this game is lacking a lot of all three haha.
