Hey! So I had an idea about assists. To me (by the way, this is just my opinion and I'm not looking to start an argument) it's frustrating when say, I'm in the crucible and land two bodyshots with my Thorn when the target player ducks behind cover and gets killed by a single shot from a shotgunner and I get an "assist" (please don't just say "land head shots" in response to this, as it's just an example and I do quite frequently land head shots). That doesn't seem quite right, does it? I mean, I made it possible for anyone to get the kill and the shotgunner just finished the job. So I was thinking, what if a single person causes 80 - 85% damage to another person they get the kill and the person/people that got the other 15 - 20% damage got the assist. This way, the person that did the most work gets the reward of the kill. This was especially apparent today in the iron banner when I was attempting the "land 20 headshot kills with a primary weapon" iron banner bounty. I was focusing on the head and wasn't always hitting the mark so frequently I'd get an assist since someone came along quickly finished them with easy bodyshots. So this was just an idea I had. Tell me what you think!

The one this Battlefield got right.

Battlefield 4 does assists right.

Tbh, I think both people should get the kill. A combined effort should reward more points imo. But Idc that much tbh I just want them dead. I don't care how.

But you didn't kill him, and wouldn't have if the shotgunner wasn't there. Who's to say the shotgun wouldn't have prevailed even if the enemy was at full health? Who ever deals the deciding blow gets the kill, that's how it is. If you're that worked up about it then finish your kills.

Assist point shouldn't be a fix 50points. If I took let's say 65% of the enemy lifepoints, I should get about 65% of the kill points. If I remember well, In Bf4 assist works a bit like this and I it works well
