any one know what the problem is? and if they reset the ranks completely, that would have totally pissed off some 5 star generals and they would have had to start all over.

I like the update and all, but since it came out i can't play DLC BTB but i can play DLC FFA, so now i cant get the achievements and i had 1000 in under a month when the game first came out so that pisses me off that i cant get all of the new ones. [Edited on 09.24.2008 3:19 PM PDT]

Hey dude while having the 3 rings of death to your console im sure when you get it back it will ask you to update with the new patch like it did me ,hope this helps :)

Although with the present update on halo 3 ,i wasnt that impressed with the changes such as not having rocket race in the playlists anymore so this is a thumbs down from me and im sure a lot rocket racers too will agree thats this is a big dissapointment ....however is there any change of rocket race coming back in the future in the playlists ?? I noticed that big team social has been renamed to squad battle !! why change the name that everyone has got use to playing ??? This is all so strange to me and may put me off from playing on live with halo 3,anyways thats enough of me moaning lets hope bungie makes up for our loss on halo 3 ..yay!! its ok i think they should have just left halo 3 alone but still improve some maps like foundry but i hat e what they did to snowbound i dont know really its sorta good the new updates

i dont like the update. bungie should have reset all the rankings in general. i thought i would be playing more. now im playing less with the removal of big team social and DLC slayer. i stopped playing over the summer and was bored as it was but i thought this was gonna spark me up again but its definitely not. sorry bungie but this one isnt one im enjoying. i think if you reset all the levels the amount of playing would skyrocket. i just dont feel like trying to gain the new like apprentice rankings and such when im already a 47 and its tough enough as it is to rank up. help us bungie wan kenobi ur my only hope

simply amazing, i hope the mythic maps come soon. but i just hate one thing about this... its the rank system, is it possible to like put your global rank next to the playlist ratings.... it would look cleaner in my opinion

Were not being jerks. we liked the game and now it sucks. Unranked games are no longer random with the whole every game type has its own exp. personally i go out with a group of guys that are not that good and all we want is to face guys that are the same level or close to use. we dont feel like playing -blam!- Generals that are recruits in that game typeand thats what we have been getting. there is no way we would ever beat them and tha pisses me off to no end.

I think a few of the achievements are going to start on the 25th, like the vidmaster achievements. But I don't think so for the others that involve the new maps. And no way those maps come out tomorrow. I do think something new will be said either tonight, or tomorrow morning, but it won't be new maps. Which is actually a good thing, because that might mean new game!

I don't get why the high ranked people are complaining. As I see it, this was effectively a rank reset. I played a few games last night and every game I was against generals and brigadiers (who dominated). If anything the low-ranked people should be complaining. Eventually, the playlist ranks should sort themselves out, and it will return to normal. I don't see low-ranked players ever reaching general no matter how much they play.

nice new achievements, but i compared games with my friend and it had mythic achievements already there. Also i saw while comparing games that the vidmasters had gamerscore - pretty odd :/

Yay! Never noticed there was a DLC Big Team. But...for the achievements, you should make them superdeduper like in Crackdown (someone said that, and I agree with them)...Still good that your actually updating the game to keep our interest going...and six new maps, I like!
