To set the difficulty for the SP maps, use the console command "game_difficulty_set ". The change will take effect for the NEXT map that you load. Note that if you want to play on Legendary, you need to type "impossible" as the difficulty.
To view the difficulty, use the console command "game_difficulty_get_real".
Finally, to load the SP maps, use the console command "map_name ".

hey are u tired of just using the icon to use the console? well use the start menu then just find halo in ur start menu right click on halo then folow the guide that this guy gives u

When I try to open Halod or somthing like that, I get this message " C:/ My Downloads/ strings. dll is missing" I'v tryed this a long time ago and it did the same thing. Can you help [Edited on 1/20/2006]

wow thats cool thx that was easy and really helped thanks bro but i do have one more ? that u could help me with as i am still a noob at running a halo server how do i change the rejoin time as when u die you have to wait to come back into the game mine is at like 15 secs is there a way to lower the tim down to like 3sec's thanks

OMG that felt good i found some craphead that wouldnt stop insulting the british and basically all other white people, so, me being a non-racist,and white, and in a clan full of british, i kickd him and when i saw him the next day he logged off when i got on. well heres to all u ppl who have been wondering if u can use cheats in the console. First off, u CANNOT use cheats in halo pc, only in halo custom ed, and thats by enabling dev mode which will remove online play. BUT there is a way to get around this using halo ce alldev its a litle program that u leave running while playing halo that enables devmode while allowing u to play online. while many ppl think this will lead to many cheaters, its actually the a bit of the opposite bcause u can only use it in ur own server, only the debug camera works in another persons game, all other cheats have no effect. a strange thing when using alldev is that even when u have deathless player turned on, a melee to the back will still kill you, and when u are not the host and somone is using bottomless clip it will seem like ur magazine runs out and u cant reload, this is normal, u still have infinite ammo, but only the host can still see ur shots. i dont want to post the link cus i might get in truble or somtin but if u pm me i can help u out :) [Edited on 8/2/2005]
