First of all, here are both the videos:
Halo 5 Guardians Master Chief Ad: http://youtu.be/9rd8FWUCCZk
Halo 5 Guardians Spartan Locke Ad: http://youtu.be/tHQiYPiNVEE
Now, I'd like to say DAYUUMM this is crazy.
In my opinion, Chief is evil/will be evil in Halo 5. I haven't listened to the audio log yet but this seemed very obvious in both ads. Especially with Chief's line, "You're mission is finished, and mine has just begun." That shocked me.
This story better be gud m8s

Edit: Forgot to metion the UNSC Infinity being on fire. I'm thinking that when Chief says "Was it worth all of this?" He could have been talking about ONI starting somthing with the UNSC and they could've possibly destroyed the Infinity (or maybe the covenant or prometheans)
Oh yeah, and HYPEHYPEHYPEHYPEHYPE.

-
Locke hunts MC Locke and MC fight Locke and MC team up Locke does solo mission while MC does other solo mission Locke and MC team up at end to win it all.
-
It has me interested. I will be following this closely up until launch

I wrote this for another forum. They also had the trailer thing of Locke and the Arbiter talking on it: Okay, here's my thoughts. This still sounds like Universal Soldier. I'm guessing Locke is the psychopath unnamed Spec Ops agent interviewing Halsey in 4 was taking about. Just by using the name "Locke" makes me guess he's going to do SOMETHING backhanded. Even as little as trying to kill John when it's obvious that John's the only one who can stop whatever's going on. Also, can I mention how bitcin' The Arbiter's armor is? He's gotten some new swag fighting the Servants of the Abiding Truth. I'd guess The Arbiter made a deal with Serin Osman or Lord Hood (or mystery man,) for further help/consolidate his power if he helped Locke. Also keeps whatever Locke's doing outside of human ears. I figured John and The Arbiter would have teamed up. Maybe that'll be saved for 6. From what it seems from the trailer, John made some deal with Medicant Bias, if that's what the Wyvern forerunner thing is, to resurrect Coratana and things went FUBAR.

I think there will be a civil war in-game, where Locke represents ONI, seen as malevolent after the Halo wars, and Master Chief being the UNSC, who ONI controls through greater technology because of their access to precursor machines.
-
What did the iPhone say to chief?
swipe to un"Locke"
-
I think the statue represents chief's reputation to the public/UNSC/oni, in the Locke trailer, the statue is perfect, because chief's reputation as a hero is still intact. In the Master Chief trailer, his statue is damaged, this might not be about his current rep status, but what he'll do in halo 5 to cripple it.
-
Agent Locke is a spartan IV and he kills master cheif. But an entire covenant fleet, the gravemind, 343 guilty spark, and the didact cant?! If agent locke kills MC, that will be very stupid.

I can't wait to play this now and kick agent Lockes ass he's impending for un bending
-
i think chief is good i just dont know why 343 would ruin a gr8 franchise
-
The statues in both videos are different. The master chief trailer has a damaged statue where as lockes has a pristine statue, possibly symbolizing their points of view.
-
343 just couldn't think of a better name than guardians. Oh its not like there is another game where you play as guardians.

Edited by IslocStarkiller: 4/2/2015 8:57:14 PMHalo is officially dead to me because of these trailers. EDIT: For anyone who has a gripe with my opinion, here are my reasons. Master Chief was portrayed terribly. To start, monologuing isn't even Chief's thing. Second, his intonation is way out of character. Third, his words portray him as a generic action hero. Fourth, the conflict in this game just seems strange and out of tune from the rest of the series. Halo has consistently been about discovering the unknown and fighting strange aliens along the way; this just seems like the plot to a Liam Neeson film or something. Also, even though this is a subjective point, John's armor still looks clunky and unpleasing aesthetically. As for Spartan Locke, well I don't even know who the hell he is as I don't even remember him being in Halo 4, but so far he looks pretty flat. BONS EDIT: MFW I first watched these trailers.

If they kill the Chief, that'll be the last straw. I'll just give up on video games. Halo has been my go to game for over a decade, and the books are really good too. MC is the reason I've enjoyed it so much, and the multiplayer is icing on the cake.

I think Locke is hunting master chief based on little info Oni has given Locke and oni is holding info that would otherwise change how he would react to the situation. This is speculation. Don't hate.
-
I think the Chief is hunting for Halsey. Cortana was Chiefs only real friend. I feel like he would do anything, and I mean ANYTHING to get her back. If you remember Halsey joined the Covenant in Spartan Ops. But that's my theory

Edited by Infiltrat0rN7: 3/30/2015 11:42:53 PMChief said more in that trailer then he did in Halo 2 AND 3 I'm almost positive The in my eyes chief is still stuck in the back of the Dawn
-
Oh goodness, please no hyping. Remember all the crap that happened to us last year?
-
Bungie, look what they have done to your beautiful amazing creation, to master chief, this is true heresy
-
Have you been keeping up with nightfall? Seems like Oni has turned into a futuristic CIA monitoring everything (Oni Eyes series) I think there framing the chief but what is there objective? And how will we stop em

Edited by Matu Flp Krawfe: 3/30/2015 4:57:30 PM"Celebrate good times, come on!" This is a Halo game, a Halo game with a very interesting setup, and one with publicly tested, innovative gameplay launching on a new console (gameplay I personally approve of). Honestly, I can't wait. Its been a long time since a game has had the potential to be special (Halo 3 maybe) and I'm glad that I'm not so old/bitter that I can't appreciate that possibility. I just hope the master chief has dialog this lengthy in the actual game. Its weird, but in a good way.
-
Just a reminder! Do not get too hyped.
-
Is that your GT? That is two funy !
-
I think I remember reading a few years ago Halo 6 will be a thing, so...I'm pretty content thinking nothing too major can happen to the chief...riiiiiight?
