Ok, so here's the deal.
I have a camcorder that I use frequently, I transfer these recordings to the computer and expect to edit them, however, the Windows Movie Maker program doesn't recognize the movie file as anything (why is that?).
For now I think it's just because of the movie file format, it's MPEG-4. So far neither Windows Movie Maker or muvee autoproducer is able to import the files. Does anyone have an explanation to this? What do I need to be able to edit my movie files into a full video file with music and effects? If I need to convert the MPEG-4 files into WMP how do I do that?
If anyone could help me with this it'd be most appreciated. I'll check back every now and then for any answers.
