Do you think adding a more dynamic, open world (Skyrim/GTA-like) feel to this game (or future ones) would make it better?

This was the feature I looked forward to more than anything else, and it was either cut, or falsely advertised, before release. Alpha, Beta, and release my first experience was turning around and running only to die to the invisible walls. There were two separate videos in which they said that everything we saw was playable geometry. This is absolutely my greatest disappointment.

It's because bungie is sucking activisions balls. -blam!- activision and -blam!- bungie for bending over for them.

4 RepliesFor the open world concept to work like it does in games like skyrim or red dead Bungie is gonna have to figure out what their game is about and start thinking of some naratives otherwise it's just gonna be a big, boring game about walking places to murder things. Don't get me wrong, that's fun for a while... but I'm not paying for that game. Why isn't the conunity outraged over how weak the writing is in this game? I got Destiny free with my xbone, so I'm not too rattled, but I've come to expect a higher standard fron Bungie. I suppose my own high expectations are partly to blame but I still don't know why the story had to suffer. It's the one thing that doesn't require more powerful hardware, just some immagination. I'd like to hear from Bungie on that. Staten couldn't have been their only writer. Even if he was, all they had to do was look to the comunity. I read some great fan fics before the game came out.

11 RepliesI like the world system it has, I just wish I could actually explore it. For instance there is alot of interesting ships and buildings in the background at the Cosmodrome... Maybe someday, maybe someday :(

If there were more locations and the existing ones were much larger it would be good too, adding in more randomness to enemy spawn points and enemy numbers would help too. It's no fun if you always know where and how many there is going to be.
