my vault isn't full, because I keep all my character weapon slots full
the reason I do this is so the weapon drops from raids etc go direct to the postmaster
in my case, I have 17 weapons in my vault, and 16 weapon items in my postmaster across the 3 characters
i've also sharded a load of weapons I'd have liked to keep (strangers rifle for example)
having no character weapon slots free means I don't pick up green weapon engrams, so my stock of weapon parts is depleting over time
EDIT: you might call me a packrat, but there is method to it. I used to have all the VoG weapons on each character fully levelled (corrective measure, vision of confluence etc), as they're my go to guns. I sharded the duplicates due to lack of space, and now keep 2 unlevelled duplicates for each across the postmasters in case you guys let us upgrade them in the future.

What happens once all the new gear starts dropping from HOW.....back to square one.

I sharded all my duplicates aside from IceBreaker and the Vex, Fate Bringer and VoC. Why? Because I can swap stuff with the app in a couple of seconds making having large amounts of duplicates pointless. If you can't cope with an extra 16 spaces in the short term you probably won't be able to cope with another hundred in the long term because you'll figure out an intricate reason to fill all of those too. I've got one of each raid gun (aside from Praedyths Timepiece (because Oversoul edict is just better) and I'm only missing Thunderlord, Necrochasm and the PS exclusives. It's gets a bit tight in there sometimes but I've not had a massive issue because I don't keep what I don't need

So, one person who has a non-full vault does not magically negate "a lot" and "majority"

I agree! See my post here, add your voice! https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/111691911/0/0 I feel like the kid on Christmas morning who went down, opened his first present, and it was a pair of black tube socks...

Just goes to show you how terrible House of Wolves will be.
