Our Destiny - In Character RP Thread CLOSED
Earth is in shambles, Venus is not spared, the Moon is ravaged by the Hive, and Mars is under turmoil with Vex and Cabal. The Light is fading, and fast... The Darkness places a shadow above hope, drenching the Guardians and citizens of the City into ruins.
The Golden Age of humanity has long passed, and only hints of it remain: weaponry, armor, and technology.
The Exos, the robotic sons and daughters of humans. They are sentient, fully capable of thoughts and feelings. No one remembers how humanity made them, but they are still of great use.
The Awoken, the last bastion of people on the outer-edges of the Asteroid Belt that blocks rocky planets from the gas giants. They are the remains of a fleet that attempted to escape the Darkness, but was met with swift deaths. The remains are the Awoken, the cosmic brethren of Humanity.
The Darkness's allies, the Fallen, the Hive, the Vex, and the Cabal. They are not inter-connected allies mind you. They are only mutual allies with the Darkness.
This, is Our Destiny, our Legend.
Welcome to the world of Destiny...

There were many gangs, each wanting to be larger than all the major players. La'haar entered the 4th Quarter Tavern, and approached the bartender. He directed the Hunter to the back, and in a private booth sat an enigmatic female Exo. She wore a blue clock, neatly fashioned around her front. "Why do you follow me?" "To guide you. My party's my own, but that doesn't mean I can't guide yours." She leaned forward, and the lantern illuminated her robotic face. "The Vex are still a threat. You destroyed the Black Garden's heart, but this evil still thrives, in worse places. The Vault of Glass. The darkest of the Vex domains. You must destroy their god, Atheon. Only then will the Vex engine be stopped. This task, you cannot do alone. Rally the forces of Light, and siege the Vault. Do not mention me though. I am but a guiding force." La'haar left the room, and went to the Tower. He posted a note to the Tower forum. "Recruiting Guardians for raid on Vex fortress." (Reply in character if you wish to join. This will be the Vault of Glass raid.) (Edit: 3 so far, gonna aim for 6 or so. Can do it with more, though.) (Edit 2: By 6 I mean 6 people, you can use as many characters as you want. I'm using my whole team.) (Edit 3: 4 people. Keep em coming!)

Eventually, they return to the Tower. Daina repairs Archimedes circuits, as La'haar spilled his drink on him (again). La'haar, still chuckling from the incident, modified his Sparrow. He never seems to stop "fine tuning" it, much to the dismay of Holiday. As La'haar shuffles through his possibly purposely disorganized toolbox, he finds a note, written on a sheet of golden white parchment. A high end marking in the corner, when shone under the light, reveals the symbol of the Vanguard. The note reads: "Come to the 4th Quarter Tavern tonight. Come alone. Will say more there." He puts down the note, informs Holiday of his departure, and heads for the East City.

Korvic returns to the tower and readies his personal jump ship, "little light", for the short flight to the cosmodrome.

After having bought all the necessary supplies James got on to his ship and began flying off to the cosmodrome

Daina is summoned to the Tower by Ikora, to continue the analysis of Vex mind core samples from the Ishtar Collective. La'haar persuades her to stay out a little longer, and Archimedes studies logistical development under the moon.

"Haha!" The new system was installed and working, and now he could go to the cosmodrome, but James walked off to buy some ammo synths. He didn't know how long he'd be there

Korvic receives a message from Cayde-6 back at the tower. He was needed for a routine patrol around the cosmodrome. "No time for hangovers... Duty calls."

Dante and Korvic both awake to find themselves on the floor of the tavern, each of them with massive hang overs. Korvic grabs his head in pain. "Gruuh... What year is it?..."

6 RepliesRaleigh came upon the bar and went inside after seeing other guardians inside. She went in and took a seat, quietly observing everyone. Eli made it to the bar but hesitated outside. He didn't enjoy social places.

Auror let out a small smirk. "Just.. Don't kill him." Kane walked past Auror and found a seat, pulling it out from under the table and sitting in it. Auror strolled towards the armed Exo. He drew a sickle, and put the tip of it against the Exo's metallic cheek. "Tell me, Exo... Have you experience pain before?" Auror let out a deathly laugh, his wings spreading, then closing back up.

The moon is high in the night sky. The Hellmouth is visible, even from so far away. Daina stands, mourning. "If we lost even the moon, how will we protect Earth?" La'haar reassures her. The team sits on the edge of a balcony, and Daina and La'haar sip drinks. Archimedes does not, for as advanced as the Exo already are, they still cannot enjoy the finer things in life.
