LEAVING DESTINY WILL REKINDLE YOUR LOVE FOR GAMING

I'm reluctant to write a post on here because these forums are so toxic, but I'm genuinely interested in people's thoughts on this. Elitist trolls, please leave your ego's at the door, I want I nice civil discussion on this.... I started playing destiny about a month after release, since then I have played it religiously while a lot of other games have sat on my shelf collecting dust, that was up until a couple of weeks ago. The unrewarding grind has finally become too much and it's time to get off the hamster wheel. Now before I go any further I just want to say that I have 100% got my money's worth from this game and there hasn't been many other titles that I have sunk so many hours into, BUT, here's my point, how many of those hours have I actually enjoyed and how many have been spent forcing myself to push through the same stuff I've done over and over and over again just to obtain those last few exotics that I'm missing (which ultimately will just end up as vault trophies) If I hadn't of met my clan mates early on while playing destiny I probably would of stopped after a couple of weeks because without other guardians to play with destiny is a lifeless, empty experience. At this stage what does destiny actually have to offer players apart from a tedious boring grind? My clan mates and I have all decided to give up destiny and have a go at Gta online together and it's been such a refreshing experience, we're actually beginning to remember that games are supposed to be enjoyable! With other great titles on the horizon I see little reason to return to destiny, even when HoW drops. It's highly frustrating because destiny had the potential to be a game changer and it's fallen short on so many levels. I'm interested to know how many people still playing the game are genuinely enjoying it, how many are pushing through the grind for completionists sake, and how many have done the same as me and left all together? If you have to force yourself to play a game you're not enjoying what's the point? Do yourself a massive favour, put down destiny, play something else, and enjoy gaming again.
