What if a public event had more than just one phase? What if a public event that had 3 maybe four phases? What if this particular public event rewarded you with gear? The difficulty would require a full fireteam and maybe even a 2nd fireteam to complete the whole event. This even would need to be difficult for the rewards you may be given. The gear would be the third set of "top end gear"(currently 32). Now this gear shouldn't be exactly better than the raid gear(as raid gear should always be the best gear), but this gear can show off a very difficult achievement for another big part of Destiny, Patrol/public events. Public events are very awesome and always great to build friends and teamwork. Imagine you have a public event that started but the difference is visible right away with the sound and lighting and it doesn't say public event, it says "Public Challenge" which is definitely no easy challenge. This challenge has multiple rounds to beat(ie an army invading, then a walker, then more armies or a warsat to hold or a position to overtake and then hold off, then a final boss fight), with each tier becoming harder and harder. This battle will be something to share and work towards and give variety to the game. Giving the players 3 different ways to become top level players would be the max number of routes to become a top level player, & it also shows variety to the players gear. This gives variety to the game and to the player. But let us know what does the community think?
