Changing Gamertag - does it break Destiny?
I have read you can only change your guardian name by changing the gamertag on your xbox. I can do this, but want to be sure its not going to break my account. I've seen other reports of people orphaning their accounts etc.

As long as you're account is still the same, then everything should translate automatically, regardless of changing your gamertag. To be clear, we [i]are[/i] talking about changing your gamertag through Xbox Live's paid service, right? [i] Not[/i] starting a whole new account? If you are creating a new account, that [i]WILL[/i] abandon all of your Destiny characters, even if you relink your account to Bungie.net. Is that what you're referring to?

I changed my GT just recently. You're all good bro.

I believe that you can change the name, as long as your account info (email, etc.) stats intact. I only vaguely remember this from a Bungie response a few months ago, though, so I'm hesitant to give you the go ahead until someone else can back me up, just to be safe.
