Ok I'm going to bring up that topic again. You know, matchmaking.
Why I think we need it for raids and Nightfall:
What if people don't WANT to solo it or have to waste time on LFG sites? Like me. Besides, all my LFG experiences went sour.
Why I think it's a good idea:
It doesn't HAVE to be compulsory. Just like COD has private games with their multiplayer, Destiny could have it as well. So basically people who, for whatever reason, want matchmaking can do the raids and nightfalls.
Why I disagree with the arguments against it:
Again, it could be sorted into solo/private or normal matchmaking, goving everybody what they want. We who want it are aware of the risks (Underleveled or inexperienced players, trolls and bad connections) but we accept it.
So really, what are your thoughts on it? If we sorted matchmaking into private games and public games, would it be alright?
Edit: If I reply to anyone, I won't have a go at them. Just don't call us idiots because we want matchmaking - it's a matter of convenience, not a change in gameplay.
Edit 2: Keep it relevant. If you're going to call me a noob without the evidence to back it up, go to a thread where somebody cares.

Make matchmaking optional for all activities. Solves the problem. Keeps everyone happy. Do you want a random group? Great, go for it. You have a pre-made group? Awesome, go for it. What's that? You wanna attempt a solo run? Good luck! Have fun! Go for it. It's not rocket science Bungie.
-
Optional is the way to go. Keeps everyone happy
-
I have always been an advocate for raid matchmaking
-
So based on your previous replies it looks like you tried vog hard with 0 completions and at lv.29? Players like you are a good reason for no matchmaking. Inexperienced and underleveled? Oh hell no
-
I want matchmaking in nightfall because I can't do that anymore unless I add randoms and I'll be lucky if they can help me
-
-
Not calling you an idiot for wanting matchmaking, but for "convience"
convenience
-
Your matchmaking groups will go just as sour, or more, if this idea becomes reality. If it's optional I'm all for it. As long as I can turn it off and not have to ever deal with it.
-
Your lfg experiences went bad because you're a noob with low level shitty characters. You don't have anything that makes you something that people would want to interact with as they all don't want to carry you through the raids or nightfalls. Get to 31 and try again as people are looking for people that are at least on par with the activity they're going to be doing.
-
Thougb I believe it's never ever going to happen, I'd be fine if it was optional. Some people enjoy doing raids and nf solo. That and who knows what losers you'll get matched with
-
Optional for sure. And mics should be a requirement for raids anyway.
-
OPTIONAL Matchmaking, I hate forced matchmaking like the weekly strikes are now.
-
Okay because of little girls like you I have to run random blueberry nobs through my damn weeklies when I don't have friends online. Suck an egg. This shit should be optional. I am sick and tired of needing 3 people to start my weeklies so that I don't have to deal with random rejects. Thanks but no thanks.
-
This would only work based on the assumption that it would be optional, they didn't make the heroic optional so what makes you think they would make the others?
-
-
I agree there should be matchmaking, even tho I would never use it. If people are asking for it, and they just made it for the Weekly Heroics, then I don't see the point of not having it. However I think once and if matchmaking is made available for the NF and Raids then people will realize how much it would suck. You really can't have trolls or bad players, and judging by the players you get paired up with in Weekly Heroics, you will get a majority of those types of players. Ultimately matchmaking wouldn't affect me because I use LFG and usually have a steady group of people to do those Weeklys...
-
I think the best scenario for all players and bungie, is to make it a choice. Whether it's private match with friends, randoms(public settings on), and it solo for those who want that. That's all I have to say, so far I've only had a few crap matchmaking strikes versus a lot of great ones with randoms, there's lots of great and fun players out there so, having a choice for match making will benefit everyone positively.
