Patch 1.1.2 : Top Three Realistic Changes You Want To See

Things are already in motion behind the scenes but this has become a very constructive grouping of some great ideas! My personal top three are below, [b][u]but make sure you REPLY to your favorite ideas in this thread to give them the most exposure.[/u][/b] [b]#1: Increased Vault/Storage space.[/b] It's just necessary at this point. [b]#2: Heavy Ammo CRATES at key points in the Strike Playlists that people constantly bail from.[/b] This is Unnecessary for Nightfalls or Weekly Heroics, just the PLAYLIST. EXAMPLE: Bottom of the stairs in the new Venus Strike or before the Omnigaul room. [b]#3: Updated Bounties[/b] New bounties would be a welcome and needed addition for any player who still grinds daily, even Clan Based or Fireteam Based bounties would be a good change. EXAMPLE: Complete three Crucible matches and three strikes in one day with Two (or more) Clan Mates. EXAMPLE: Complete a Cosmodrome Story Mission using ONLY White weapons. EXAMPLE: Complete X task without equipping your Secondary Weapon. [b][i][u]JOIN THE DISCUSSION...What are your Top Three?[/u][/i][/b] [b]Edit/Update #1[/b] New bounties seem to be a hot topic being brought up. Also several mentions of instituting Raid Marks as well as multiple requests for the ever popular Transmog so we can change the look of gear and keep its stats. [b]Edit/Update #2[/b] Vault space is ever popular, as are more vanity items. (Ghosts, Shaders ect.) Also, An interesting concept of instituting a "Rep Bounus" into strikes....something that stacks with your Nightfall Bounus for completing multiple Strikes, and caps out at a set percentage upon completion of a certain number of strikes (Credited to Semperfi1999). Lastly: 6 Person Patrol/Strike Fireteams. [b]Edit/Update #3[/b] Still many requests for Transmog! Custom game types are also showing up quite frequently, but it's almost an even split between custom PvP matches and custom Strike/Patrol modifiers as well such as added "Burns", Fireteam sizes, or "specific task" type modifiers. [b]Edit/Update #4[/b] The topic of Currency and Materials are becoming very popular. Some want them removed from specific loot tables entirely, others are suggesting that an exchange system is put in place for all of the "extra" items they are given throughout the game. [b]Edit/Update #5[/b] People seem to desire a Horde Mode, and it seems interesting! Also, Hot Keys for weapon swaps and other useful tasks are rising in popularity.

      Nerf all guns to 1 dmg causes some guy got killed by one of them at some point in pvp and couldnt handle it or fix the guns you screwed up lol

        Opted to dedicate a separate post to some special events ideas I posted earlier in case that post got lost in the shuffle. Again, I'm not expecting Destiny to receive a massive influx of special events anytime soon, but it would be great to see more PVP AND PVE events in rotation beside Iron Banner and some rare Crucible modes. 01. Defend the Tower for a random enemy faction. All-out chaos similar to Final Fantasy XI's Besieged. - PVE 02. "Xûrfest," an event in which players vote for which Exotic gear Xûr should sell for one weekend. The name is inspired by Puzzle & Dragons' Godfest. - General 03. Limited time Strike and Raid missions with 100% drop rates for Exotic gear. These should be new content that rotates as often as Iron Banner. - PVE 04. A revamped version of Queen's Wrath. Adjustments should make this event less redundant and more rewarding. - PVE 05. Increased EXP/rep gain event that stacks with Radiant Light. - PVE/PVP 06. Increased Legendary/Exotic gear rewards event. - PVE/PVP 07. A self-explanatory horde mode, but with Fallen, Hive, Vex AND Cabal forces joining forces (whoa). - PVE 08. Special loot chest event that yield very rare items (Legendary shaders, ships, emblem, and gear). - PVE 09. Special reconnaissance mission event or similar team-up objective aside from the usual 'run-and-gun' tactics. - PVE/PVP 10. More seasonal/holiday events with special items. Similar to the Halloween event, but more fleshed out. - General 11. "Metal" enemies event with hard to kill Majors that yield insane amounts of EXP similar Dragon Quest's Liquid Metal Slimes. - PVE 12. A semi-roguelike modifier for higher difficulty settings. Although it's not permanent death, it can kick players to orbit AND bar them from reentry until the next weekly update. - PVE 13. Randomly generated 'dungeon' event with random enemies at scaled levels and traps. This is similar to modes in some dungeon crawlers (Diablo, Torchlight). - PVE 14. Increased resource yield event. Double to amount of resources player can pick up at destinations and loot chests. - PVE 15. Scaled Public Events… during Crucible matches. If anything, these could shake up PVP a bit. - PVP 16. Faction side story event. A great way to learn more about the inner workings of each Faction and earn some nifty rewards. - PVE/PVP 17. Bounties from the Nine event. Rare bounties with even rarer rewards… and grueling challenges.

      • 1. Let us reforge old Iron Banner weapons to new Attack values whenever the Attack stat is increased. Hand in hand with this is the ability to reforge Iron Banner armour. 2. More vault space. If they don't want to give us a load of space, for whatever reason, then individual vaults for each character with a separate smaller vault for trading items would be nice. 3. Redesign every strike to be more like a mini raid (puzzles, new mechanics etc). Or add mini raids that only require 3 people. Strike bosses should still be redone to not be simple bullet sponges.

        Transmog takes the top spot for me, plus more shaders. Also being able to strip ships down and rebuild with parts and give them a shader function. More campaign maps to bump up the variety too. 'Looting' is seriously stale and not performing as intended/described/advertised. Mix up the rng and bump up the anticipation by raising the bar of items you can find/actually want to use. (different colour chest for rarity level to get the anticipation pumping)

        • New bounties for what? I don't even have anything to upgrade anymore. I guess it would be okay for newer players or non hardcore players but I haven't bothered with a bounty in almost two months man

                • Six person fireteams on patrol maps with the option to set the difficulty level, uncap glimmer or each character has it's own glimmer. Maybe raise the number marks you can have as well.

                • I'd like to see something that helps with leveling equipment after you've reached the end game. It makes sense to grind out for a while in the beginning but once you've gotten through the raid on all 3 characters and gotten them to 32 it's boring as hell to run the same missions over and over again just for the xp. How about a heroic mode that unlocks after max level. Where all the enemies are yellow and give max xp per kill.

                • Simple: Increase the glimmer reward for PvP. Have it on par with running the exclusion zone. Make PvP be the glimmer farm.

                      I have a unrealistic one. Conquest mode: 12-16 guardians would fight the enemies of the darkness for control of territory. The enemies would be level 30-32 and Nightfall, Angry, Heroic, and Epic modifiers would be turned on. The guardians would fight in a specific territory to remove the enemies from that part of the map. If guardians take out all of the enemies on one planet, those enemies would only be able to visit the planet through patrols. This would last for about a month, then they would come back guns blazing. Sometimes, alliances between the enemy factions would form, and a special task would have to be done to break that alliance up. This is just a board summary of the mode, there are more intricate parts to this idea. I was just trying to be brief.

                    • Realistically 1.) fix the lag in the crucible. nothing in the entire game is a bigger problem than this 2.) level 30 playlist with random burn 100% of the time with way higher drop rate 3.) nerf pulse rifles in the crucible and make them balanced Unrealistically 1.) fix the lag in the crucible (yes, i know i listed this in both columns) 2.) create another tier of weapons that are actually rare. like pearlescent weapons that have a chance to drop from atheon, crota or the how final boss. But they have a chance to drop outside the restriction of reset. then the raids actually have a good reason to be played more than once a week 3.) have the iron banner stop selling 36 light level armor
