On my first CE hard raid, my friend and I had to use LFG. We found a swordbearer who took down Crota in two swords. [spoiler]It was SmoggyPluto in disguise[/spoiler]

5 RepliesI haven't been playing long, I was around level 4 on patrol on earth. I guess I wondered to far and was attacked by a level 10 sword of Crota guy. As I'm running for my life, a 32 comes out of nowhere and smites the villain, picks up the sword and runs towards me and drops the sword at my feet. Let the bloodbath of vengeance begin.

Edited by aka Mich: 3/5/2015 2:18:52 PMI was trying to do last weeks Valus Ta-aurc nightfall with a level 27 friend, it was his first time doing the nightfall. Found another guy on the LFG app, told him right up front I was trying to carry my friend through and the guy couldn't have been cooler about it. Twice we died at the boss fight and he didn't get mad at all. He was a great teammate, him and I carried the load and worked pretty well together. Unfortunately we all had to leave without finishing because of work and life but it was cool to meet a random stranger willing to help.

The best teammate I ever had was this Mexican dude who was terrible. What made him great was the fact he was hilarious and he was a lot of fun to raid with. Nobody on the team even cared that he was pretty much useless. For example we were at the Crota cp and just as we went out for the first sword you can hear him peeing. We were like what are you doing? He says "had to piss soooo bad, I been holding it. What can I say, I'm Mexican, we got sh*tty timing."

I got matched with a guy last night on the weekly, had very similar stats at the end exept the fact i had about 8 revives. Not just on this guy, after the game i got a "cheers good game message" replied thanks u 2 as you do and ended up running all his nightfalls weeklies and a vog hard with him to help him out as he was lvl 28 and seemed like a nice guy. Not everyone in the game is a dbag every so often a decent person pops up.

I've had a few amazing VoG teams that I've played with and we killed Atheon in 2 teleports three times in row. After the first kill we all switched characters and did it again just as easily as the first run. And then everyone switched again and did it a 3rd time. I saw no decline in performance even when people weren't playing on their main characters. I wish every raid went as smoothly as those runs did.

Edited by Confuscious89: 3/5/2015 8:57:24 AMWas running continual strike playlists with the same player for about 11 straight strikes, sent him a friend request and got an invite to run VoG where I got my first exotic (Mida Multitool) and raid clear (woo Chatterwhite!) in the 3rd week of the game being out! Since then run regular nightfalls and have formed a raid party that runs Tuesdays and Saturdays on VoG and CE. There's some good guardians out there!

first time I did vog some lv30s let me join them as a lv28, didn't have a clue what I was doing but they talked me through it and had a good laugh at the jumping puzzle watching me fall off for a good 5 minutes. Was the best gaming experience Iv had. Met some pretty decent people on here, talk so some of them more than I do my real world mates. Which is a bit sad ha

No one said a single word or was acting stupid. He gave the me the role of shooting the boomer knights and popping bubbles as often, another Warlock guy was like a popcorn orb machine infront of me. I was so focused on my job, that I did not see any of the action that other 4 were up to. Crota was dead in less than 10 minutes...

I used to run with a group that I randomly met in the tower. They happened to live in the same state as me too. We were short one person for VoG so I invited a random that I had on my friends list and he fell in : love with the one quick in the group. It was so annoying that whenever she got on I would check to see what they were doing and that dude was with her everytime. I found a new group after that, I don't have the patience for that kinda carp in a video game.

Team full of 32's that did crota hard in 40 minutes. We almost got flawless raider.

By the far, the best teammates I've ever had, just so happened to be a couple. A man and woman, both in their late twenties/early thirties. I became somewhat of their adopted "nooblet", though I generally outranked them in every aspect of skill. My first time playing with them lasted around ... seven hours, I think. The entire time we were just running RoC and laughing, having a good time. I still run shit with them every few days. Other than that, my co-op/multiplayer experience is generally a shitfest of assholes.

My very first Crota raid was with SgtDipwad and MrDipwad (+ 3 others. I think one was an Alex?) Had a blast. Died a bunch but everyone was a similar breed of genial smart-ass. It was a great time.

Also best teammate I ever had was a guy on Xbox One named lllHellionlll

Well I had a Crota cp on hard once and put a random team together on the forums. We only had 4 ppl but we decided to try it anyway. Our swordbearer was amazing and we took Crota out in 2 swords with only having to wipe once (because our supers didn't charge fast enough). None of us had the Ghorn. If only I was able to find a team like that again :/
